That’s not what the article you linked to was about.
It’s easy to be taken aback. I’m used to cite descriptions being somewhat sarcastically overstated too, so I was expecting that link to talk about how Conway had actually said something like “there’s nothing wrong with Trump supporting his daughter’s business endeavors on Twitter”.
But holy shit.
Yes, it was. It initially discussed the negative reaction to Conway’s pitch for Ivankaware, but Conway’s pitch itself was there too, in all its barefaced “glory”.
I’m sure he did read.
He posted “Kellyanne Conway went on Fox News today to tell us to go buy Ivanka’s products.”
This is what happened.
You are also correct. In more detail, after she went on Fox news to promote Ivanka’s products, politicians from both sides of the house were pissed off. (as they should be).
As to your last questions, "why does the White House notify the ethics office?
Why won’t the (Dis)Honorable Asshole Chaffetz do it? "
-
Because the white house is currently in possession of a family who does not give two shits about ethics, and in fact probably does not know the meaning of the word.
-
Because Chaffetz is a scummy dishonorable asshole, who puts Trump before party, and party before country.
You obviously didn’t read my link.
…yes it was. You are just being unnecessarily nitpicky.
I wonder if Putin ordered him fired…
Dolt 45 shares his thoughts on the FAA:
Yeah, because we all know about the high standards of knowledge and expertise you demand from your department heads…
OK. So we shouldn’t have a politician heading the country, we shouldn’t have an educator heading the department of education, we shouldn’t have A Secretary of Energy who can remember the name of the department - but damnit, there needs to be a pilot leading the FAA?
I thought about making a GD thread for this one but I’m not really sure if there’s much of a debate. I’m not sure how much traction this will get, probably not much. I think this is an attempt to hang the albatross that is Trump/Bannon on the GOP for 2018. The GOP votes this down and as it becomes clearer that Trump has severe conflicts of interests and ethics issues they’ll be able to point back to this vote.
Woo Hoo! King Donald the Shithead just found out maybe he’s not such an absolute monarch after all. The emperor is wearing no clothes.
gouges out eyes
My very thought.
Don’t like Trump’s picks? Fill your own ‘Shadow Cabinet’ at the SF Chron.
Why are you surprised? I can’t think of anything to admire about McCain since he got back from Nam. He thinks war is the answer to everything, he did his best to make Sarah Palin VP, and he kept spouting total crap about Benghazi long after it was proven false. The best thing you can say about him is that he’s not as bad as Cruz or Trump. Which is also the best thing you can say about slime mold.
If the GOP votes this down, which of course they will, it’ll be forgotten in a week.
They also were too big for his tiny little hands.
But there are other more important things. Trump lost in court. He LOST.
He is a LOSER. LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER LOSER
That was fun
That’s like a trial lawyer saying “But your honor, he only killed a few people”
With hands that tiny he needs 500 thread count or more. Unfair, sad.
Yes, but then it will re-surface at election time. We see this all the time in the political ads. I can see it now “So-and-so voted against Trump revealing his conflicts of interests”.
