These posts were perfectly timed.
Numbers are hard.
Who knew there were so many of them.
When this thread was started, I thought it would go on for a couple of pages initially, then Trump would settle into his role with maybe the odd gaffe that folks would just bump the page to report.
How foolish was I? This is the clusterfuck that just keeps on giving, and giving and giving.
Fake! All of them! Except 1, that is the only real number. The best number. Even 2 is fake. It’s crap.
I expected a slightly-worse Bush (somebody that would start new wars and tank the world economy). I was way too optimistic, a first for me.
That’s why 1 is the loneliest number.
You can’t trust crooked numbers.
Discussions are apparently underway to downgradeTrump’s visit to Great Britain to “working visit” rather than “state visit”. I would guess that the queen herself has basically told the government “no fucking way”. No visit with the queen. No state dinner. No riding in the royal carriage.
I’m sure we’ll hear soon from the Thin-skinned snowflake himself that this is “fake news” Which will pretty much confirm that this is true.
I’ve just become an Eminem fan.
I’d suggest substituting a garbage truck, but I didn’t mean to say that Donald Dotard’s mode of conveyance should be hauling garbage.
“We have a huge bullet proof limo for you. Of course you can ride in back”
Vanity Fair: “I HATE EVERYONE IN THE WHITE HOUSE!”: TRUMP SEETHES AS ADVISERS FEAR THE PRESIDENT IS “UNRAVELING”
Eminem kicks absolute ass with The Storm. He even used “orange” in a rhyme.
The talk on the cable news channels is along the lines of ‘this isn’t going to help the anti-Trump side because Eminem has so many problems himself, such as lyrics about committing rape.’
But they’re ignoring the fact that there’s substantial overlap between Eminem’s fans and dedicated Trump-worshipers. This development has the potential to actually burst some confirmation-bias bubbles, or at least stretch them beyond their usual dimensions.
It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if some Trump-worshipers were forced to actually think a bit.
From the linked article:
Steve Bannon, who helped engineer Trump’s victory and legislative agenda, thinks Trump has only a 30% chance of finishing his term. It’s almost like Bannon wanted an unstable lunatic in the White House as a way of dismantling American democracy. Nah, couldn’t be.
Not that he’s on record actually saying that or anything.
I know the above New Yorker article about the Mercers has been posted on the forum before, and likely even in this thread. But it is such a worthwhile read (or re-read) if you want to get a handle on how we came to this miserable state of affairs.
As Sherrerd recently and perfectly observed in his post #12063 in this thread, “Those people ain’t wired up right.”
Once again, president Stupid Head and I reluctantly agree on something.
When you’re losing Rush Limbaugh, things ain’t going well.
“There’s a part of this story that’s starting to make me nervous, and it’s this: I am very uncomfortable with the president of the United States being able to dictate the behavior and power of anybody. That’s not where this should be coming from,” Limbaugh said on his show.
