I thought the water bottle was karmic schadenfreude, nothing more. It gave me a chuckle. But I appreciate jsgoddess’s observation re Trump’s health. I actually noticed how bad he was looking when I recently saw some footage of Trump taken during one of the Clinton/Trump debates that was immediately followed by recent footage of Trump. He looks like hell.
I think the companies are already profitable enough to “invest” if there was a business rationale to do so. They don’t need tax cuts, they have the money already. Tax cuts will just give them more profits.
It might well be the effects of the ‘road trip’. Even when I was 20-30 years younger than Trump, crossing 8-10 time zones and spending (and I don’t care in how much comfort) 12-15 hours on a plane will wear on you.
So yeah, in the list of Trump shenanigans, this is fairly low on the list. IMHO.
True, but that’s somewhat normal for the presidency. Look at campaign pictures and then second State-of-the-Union pictures of any president and they all look like they’ve aged 10 years (except Carter who I swear aged 20 years his first week in office). It’s a hard job on healthy, middle-aged men. It can’t be easy for a pampered, fast-food eating, senior citizen.
Having been angry before, I’m willing to speculate that being an incontinent irrational rage beast could be a bit wearing too. I mean have you ever seen an infant screaming? Their faces get so red.
Trump stumbles a few times as he walked with other leaders to the group photo at the APEC Summit in Danang. He could’ve been tired, or not used to walking very far … or maybe it was those bone spurs.
