ETA: Also, don’t forget that Trump overwhelmingly golfs at clubs he owns, or stays at Trump Tower, not counting actual official travel. He’s making more money every time he goes on vacation. That smells unethical to me, but Trumpies may disagree.
Yah. I’m thinking that personally profiting from one’s office is a Bad Thing, legally, and certainly a High Crime in itself. Of course, he’s been doing that from day one, with nary a peep…
Yeah, I looked at the Judicial Watch site and it seems to have a strong anti-liberal bias. I’d like to see something with a comparison from an unbiased source. However, if you extrapolate Trump’s 7.5 million over 8 years, it comes out to 90 million, which is pretty close to Obama’s numbers.
Even if they end up spending the same amount, my point was that Republicans sure were bent out of shape with Obama’s golfing, and haven’t had jack fucking shit to say about Trump’s golfing.
The 7.5 million is only the cost of operating AF1. No other attendant costs such as Secret Service agents, extra vehicles, extra aircraft to carry those vehicles (and Marine One) lodging for all personnel, pre-trip security at the destination. There’s a crapload of costs beyond flying AF1.
I can only assume that the admission and apology were also faked. Seems like something he might’ve thought to address at the time, but I guess our president is a busy man.
You know how when unemployment was at 5% under Obama and Trump said that the true number was really 45%; but then in Trump’s first month in office he took credit for the newly recalculated true 5% unemployment? Same deal. When it was Obama on the golf course, he was just being shiftless and lazy; when Trump is on the golf course he’s making deals and winning. So, really, it’s apples and orange when you get right down to it.
