I have been following poll aggregators that look at Trump’s approval rating. It’s been on a downward trajectory. This week, Real Clear Politics’ aggregation of polls had Trump hit a new low - 37.3 approval, with a 20.4 spread between approve/disapprove. I think that he has more room to drop.
To put this in context, Obama’s worst day in 8 years according to RCP was Dec 4, 2013, with an approval of 40.1, spread of 15.2.
I think Trump has the potential to beat GW Bush’s record from Oct 16, 2008, with an approval of 24.6 and a spread of 44.7. He’s going to do something to piss off his base.
AKA, the only moral abortion is MY abortion.
This is why, before I judge another’s actions, I always consider, “But for the grace.”
It is easy to dismiss someone else’s problems and struggles when you know that you will never confront them, but that’s just it, you don’t know that you will never confront such difficult decisions in your life.
It is always easy to justify your own actions, you know what led up to them, and you now that you didn’t do anything wrong. When you see another taking an action that you disapprove of, you have to consider whether you disapprove of the action, or the events that you are imagining leading up to the action.
Trump tried to slut-shame Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in Twitter today.
“Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”

This is an excellent point. My mother provides an excellent example of this in action: When my first husband was alive, he was on SSDI (disability from Social Security). My mother one day was complaining about people who are on disability, with a fairly strong implication that they were a bunch of fakers. I pointed out that Steve was on disability and she said “Oh, not HIM.”
But he looked fine sometimes. He wasn’t in a wheelchair. I’m sure there were people who thought he was faking and it was their own spouse or sibling or aunt that was the one exception.

It kind of makes sense when you understand that the Clintons were instrumental in helping Gillibrand’s political career.

Bannon sends him a text message of what he should tweet and Trump has to mark it as “Used” so he doesn’t send it again. That’s how he got mixed up and sent the wrong tweet about the church shooting in TX.

I think it’s an unintelligible shorthand meaning that the Clintons were used by Gillibrand in her quest to rise within the Democratic Party. The Clintons did mentor Gillibrand to her seat in the Senate. Then she said that Bill Clinton should have resigned his presidency after the Lewinsky affair/impeachment. Trump made his comments about disloyalty to the Clintons and seems to be implying that Gillibrand USED them.
He’s just losing his shit worse every day.
