Just surprised to see Gillibrand attached. While I believe he’s identified as a Democrat/liberal, Silver doesn’t strike me as a cheerleader for any particular candidate. This seemed to be a tweet expressing actual support for Gillibrand (I do get the implication that Jones should probably look for electoral work elsewhere beyond 2020).
Not sure either.
An inside joke?
Maybe he knows something we don’t?
Maybe he’s just taking the two Democratic names dominating the headlines this week, slapping them together, and calling it a presidential ticket.
Two Dems Trump has (a) dissed and (b) campaigned against, and his attacks on both of them have blown up in his face.
When has an attack not blown up in his face?
Ted Cruz is the obvious answer to this question.
That’s because Ted Cruz is one of the very few people who is less likable.
That makes sense.
Even worse, after attacks on his wife and Daddy, Cruz’s spine broke and started supporting Trump like a beaten-down fool.
Trump hits new approval low in theRCP aggregate of polls;
37.0% approve, 57.8 disapprove, spread of 20.8%
Gallup has him at 36/59
I am hoping these approval numbers keep dropping. A failed budget bill will certainly help - or more tweets attacking women.
An *approved *budget bill might hurt him even more than a failed one, given its own A/D numbers.
The Hill is reporting that Omarosa was fired by John Kelly and escorted off the White House grounds, swearing and demanding to talk to Trump.
Gee, when they hold a reunion of past, present (and presumably future) Trump staffers, they’re gonna have to rent a ginormous stadium. And hire big-time security.
Wouldn’t it be simpler to reserve a corner of the cellblock?
April Ryan was saying on one of the cable news shows that Omarosa, told by Kelly that Trump had signed off on her being fired, and disbelieving it, tried to physically force her way into the White House residence-quarters to get a face-to-face with Trump.
That sort of thing wouldn’t end well under any President.
[[the board switching between formatting ate my post, I think–I hope this isn’t a double.]]
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Maybe she’ll be dishing up some dirt pronto.
…actual footage of Omarosa trying to get back into the White House. (Well not actual footage, but this is how I imagined it.)
I daresay Erik Prince will get the security contract.
I was picturing him as one of the past staffers residing in the cell block myself.
