The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

He did. Section 4

Why? Does he figure he’s not committing enough crimes already?

I have that book Fire and Fury. People are passing it around on the Web, and a Thai friend of the wife’s in Thailand sent it to us to download. I still don’t know if I’ll get around to reading it, as I hardly think it can tell me much new.

As for “shithole” countries, I’ll repeat my post from another thread:

I can only hope France is included in the shithole category.

This pretty much seals it. It is now official. Trump is a bad person. Anyone – ANYONE – still defending Trump is a bad person. Anyone who voted for Trump is a bad person. And really, good people do not join the Republican Party.

Republican Congresswoman Mia Love, of Utah, is Haitian-American. Her response: “The (President’s) comments are unkind, divisive, elitist, and fly in the face of our nation’s values,” Love said in a statement Thursday night. “The President must apologize to both the American people and the nations he so wantonly maligned.”

Trump said the shithole countries are in Africa. So it’s a 50/50 chance he thinks that includes France.

One of Trump’s defenders on TV tonight actually said that Trump is a learning president. Because this morning he tweeted something bad and then two hours later he, or more likely someone on his staff, corrected that. (How having someone else correct his mistakes is him learning, I don’t get.) Then he went on to say that because Trump is learning we may get an apology tomorrow.

Everyone be very careful tomorrow - Hell could freeze over and pigs may fly!

As Eugene V. Debs is my witness, first I heard about “shitholes”, I thought well, they finally went and done it. They did make stuff up to make him look bad…worse…whatever. Tomorrow, they’ll all be squawking like meth-addled parrots about slander and libel. But no.

Mouth agape, I stare. Shit or go bowling?..I wonder.

Umbrellas here, $60 each! Got the stainless steel model here, $500!, guaranteed for up to ten pounds of pig flop falling from five hundred feet!

'Course, any higher than a hundred feet makes no difference, its not falling any harder or faster from five hundred feet than two hundred. The cloth variety is cheaper, but no easier to clean, and not suitable for mayhem.

I still remember that some conservatives on the board twisted like pretzels to declare that the early statement of Trump about some Mexicans being good people was a good line. The effort of polishing the turd of today by the Trump supporters is more pathetic when one remembers that that reprehensible Mexican quote was spinned to have Trump to “actually” say that most good Mexicans had come to America.

What Trump just demonstrated is that no immigrant from those nations (and one bets that Mexico is also in his shit list) is a good person. (Yes, this time Trump forgot his weasel line).

Remember: the context is about allowing some exceptions, those exceptions are indeed related to immigrants that followed rules, started families, started businesses. Indeed, the very people that are “the good” people that America should encourage to come or to stay. Human beings that also had the misfortune of being born in bad areas of the world.

But no, Trump and henchmen will not allow the good to come here or to stay.

Trump has announced (via Twitter) that he is canceling his proposed trip to London because, Obama.
“Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!”

So is it to punish Obama or punish the British?

‘Punish’?

Neither. The embassy move was decided by the Bush administration, and the British would obviously prefer not have the shithole there anyway.

It was to protect his delicate ego from what was anticipated to be the biggest demonstration in British history if he set one stubby-toed foot on UK soil.

TLDR: he’s afraid.

I interrupted a phone call with my mother to take a photo of the TV at that moment.

On behalf of Norway, we are sorry. We only wanted to make a good impression and it went horribly wrong. We had no idea he was that impressionable. On the other hand, apparently we get a free upgrade to the planes we bought.

The Prime Ministers comment after meeting Trump: “He seemed a normal man with a sense of humour”

Donnie is of course unable to comprehend that of the roughly 25 million people in the Nordic countries, the number of who both are able to qualify for a green card, and would really like to emigrate to the US, probably can be counted comfortably on one hand. At least if you don’t count those who move to live with an SO who happened to be from the US.

Most people who move to another country do that to improve their quality of life.

Maybe he wants to get rid of the oeuvres of Perrault and the Grimm Brothers? He hated being told to read them, as a child, and they were all a bunch of liberals anyway.

The comparison in that article by a planning official to a move from Manhattan to New Jersey is probably apt - the Grosvenor Square location is some of the hottest real estate in London (despite the listed building status), and Nine Elms/Battersea is south of the river and won’t be as easy to get to. I’ll have to go to the new embassy later this year to get my daughter’s passport renewed so we’ll see how that goes.

Also worth noting:

However, it’s true that Trump would very likely get a hostile reception in the UK. Apparently he’s also grumpy because it’s rumoured that the Obamas are invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding and he isn’t (I don’t know if that’s been confirmed - I’m not following the wedding news that closely).
