Maximum acceptable winds for takeoff or landing depend on the crosswind component, not the wind speed as such. The crosswind component depends on runway orientation relative to wind direction. For the 747-200, with full fuel, the maximum demonstrated crosswind component is 25 knots. The runways at Andrews are north-south, so it would only be a limitation if the winds were east-west or close to it. For gusts, normal practice is to add half the gust factor (65 knots minus 35 knots, divided by 2, equals 15 knots) to approach speed on landing or to rotation speed on takeoff.

I guess it’s a tribute to Trump, in a twisted sort of way, that he can sustain the Alec Baldwin SNL skit for so long. Normally, I’d be absolutely sick of this long-running bit, but just watching last night’s cold open had me in stitches. The never ending shit-storm that is this administration is beyond belief.
Although that’s certainly true, if he were to fire them, what would he use as a reason? Everything I can think of reflects poorly on him. OK, the most likely scenario would be that he tells them they need to resign. What would they use for a reason that wouldn’t drive Kushner’s company into a deeper hole than the one it’s in?
But if Kelly fires them, then Cadet Bone Spurs can say that he doesn’t think it was fair or justified but that he told Kelly to do what he thought best. Weak, I know, but perhaps better than he alternative.
Having said that, I should say I’d be surprised if they weren’t still in their present roles come summer.
He can just fire the FBI team that downgraded their security clearance and order up a more conciliatory team that will give them a pass. Because, you know, that fucking deep state.
