Why wouldn’t he? He and Cheney wanted W to issue it, he’s already accepted back into the bar and has his voting rights restored. I don’t see where the ‘admission of guilt’ thing affects him at all.

Then why the hell does he need a pardon? There’s no point to this, except to send the message that anyone convicted of perjury for Trump can expect a nice shiny pardon for their trouble.
But why would he? It is really of no value to him. He has to present it to a judge, so he could easily just stick it in a box and forget about it (or embarrass the Dotard by publicly rejecting it).

Trump is reinventing the wheel, again. They tried this in various states and it ended up costing the states more money (for the drug testing kits and evaluations) than people caught and booted from the programs.

Well, right now it’s a limited edition bit of presidential memorabilia (one of three per my understanding). If he’s lucky, he can frame it nicely and sell it on Etsy before the market gets flooded.

The DOJ Inspector General’s report is out regarding former Deputy AG Andew McCabe, and it finds that he misled investigators concerning what he did or didn’t say to the media. Which seems like pretty small potatoes compared to all the other crap that’s going on… but (especially with the timing, coinciding with Comey’s book) it just feeds into the parallel universes we’re living in.
In one: the Trump/Fox News/Deplorables universe, the news is all about McCabe/Comey/corruption in the DOJ! corruption at the FBI! Fire Rosenstein! In the tank for the Clintons! Loretta Lynch! Deep State!!!
In the other, the one with people who don’t wear tinfoil hats: it’s Cohen, Stormy Daniels, and wondering if Mueller will finish the job before he or his boss or both get fired.
And there’s no overlap, no acknowledging of the common reality. I hate this shit.

Compare that with the way he’s hit other world leaders, and it’s basically a lay-down-and-expose-his-throat move showing his deference to Putin.

What’s a total disaster, in addition to this Presidency is the President’s lack of facility with the English language. The guy can’t even express what he is trying to say. The report is a total disaster? Wouldn’t he mean something more like “which is very damning.”
