The Trump Outrages Come Thick and Fast

The badness is so overwhelming right now, it’s messing me up emotionally. One of the lawyers who interviewed some of the detained kids was on today’s All Things Considered, and I got tears in my ears when she said one of the kids she’d talked to said she had been separated from her aunt. I immediately thought of me having guardianship of my nieces and thinking we might have a chance for a decent life as long as we make it to the other side of the desert. Only to be separated from them. Maybe permanently. I would want to kill myself if that happened.

Some of these kids are never going to be reunited with their families. Because when you’re a little baby who can’t even speak yet, how can anyone possibly find you? Many of them are going to be forever scarred from all of this. I feel like we should all be storming the gates right now, and yet here I am in my air conditioned living room, not doing shit. I have never been so unhappy to be an American as I am right now.

This administration is moving toward a policy which will make it a crime to offer humanitarian assistance to other human beings. (those who are deemed “unworthy” of help)

The kind of a response someone who does not believe there is such a thing as rape gives.

That’s his type.

The Administration would arrest this guy.

20 years and counting.

Bleeding heart hippie. All he’s doing is enabling a bum who is a parasite on the soft underbelly of society.

I think the issue is that anyone who is honest and informed already knows trump is a rapist and sex offender and it’s just another accusation at this point.

Trumps 17th accusation or Bill Cosbys 53rd accusation of sex crimes carries less weight than if another celebrity got their first accusation.

This is true, though I continue to be bothered that he hasn’t been arrested for it. Yes, yes, I know, he’s above the law. Pardon me while I vomit.

I’m pretty sure I acknowledged this when I said, “And the policy of separating kids from parents is his policy, despite his lies to the contrary.” But yes, while the facilities themselves aren’t his doing, the policy separating kids and sticking them in there without family to watch them definitely is.

Oh yeah. If Trump doesn’t die in prison, its going to make a lot of people realize America truly is an oligarchy.

Meanwhile, Senator Al Franken pretended to touch a woman’s breasts and is now jerking sodas in Elk River, Minnesota.

That’s because he got friggin’ robbed and had to take one for “the team”

…Yeah there was a bit more to it than that. I think when he forcefully stuck his tongue in her mouth, that was the thing that was more problematic. Along with multiple groping accusations from other women.

But if you’re insisting that it’s unfair that Franken’s career is ruined while Trump is running for reelection to the presidency you’ll get no argument from me.

Oh, nice little Trumpist apologizer. Well done, the laziest talking point ever comes to serve the Orange Clown again. He thanks you, believe me, for your service. And your inability to look around and see things for yourself.

Bad news. 95% of the time, the frog does not extricate itself in time. The whole pot has to get dumped out and started over.

Strap in.

Or that babies and toddlers who can’t speak a word of English (some can’t speak a word in any language yet) are perfectly capable and competent to represent themselves in court.

“Moving toward”? They’ve already brought people up on charges for giving water to people crossing a desert, and for calling 911 for people traveling in a car with one of them having a medical emergency.

We’re already there.

And I’d bet the Antebellum slave shacks had very few locks on them either, yet the darkies kept hanging around the place. Deep down inside they must have really loved slavery.

Amen. Don’t forget there was, at best, a callous disregard of keeping any record of something as simple as where’d they’d been collected. You’d think they were some kind of chattel.

Some of the reports I’ve seen had some self-righteous people proclaiming that “some of those children were traveling with people who weren’t even their blood relatives! We’re saving them!”

I’m not a blood relative of The Littlest Nephew. Doesn’t make him any less my nephew than the two to which I do have genetic links. Half of my aunts and uncles are so by marriage: doesn’t make them any less my aunts and uncles.

There’s people who make me understand “stop the world, I’m getting off.”

I think that a lot these days… :frowning:
