I was watching Channel 4’s excellent film version of John Adams’ opera The Death of Klinghoffer last weekend. As the dying strains of this particularly poignant and topical work faded away, the next sound we hear is the jolly C4 announcer: “Well, they’ve been in there a week!”. From the sublime to the fucking ridiculous. Who the hell programmed BB between Klinghoffer and Six Feet Under?
Would I…seal up the doors and leave them all there to starve for the greater benefit of the gene pool? Absolutely. Especially if the program makers are included in that as well.
