The Unexpected MMP

Mmh–excellent source of fiber!

Dayum it’s windy out there! I feel like I should go looking for Toto…

Hope it doesn’t rain and spoil my outside week here.

Actually, my son has. He’s a wit alright.

Did you find Toto, eleanor ?

I actually dont’ have a Toto, but it is windy enough to blow a small dog into my yard. I’ll let you know what flies by.

Off to be productive again. Where is my personal assistant? I want one (no salary, and only when I feel like it). Anyone tempted by the job description?

I dunno about crazy but definitely “squirrelly.”

BTW, liss, who the hell wears all those clothes??? Seven loads?? Are you washing all the husbands’ clothes?

riggs, you are supposed to share when you get the good drugs. I needs me some energy, too.

taters, I know some dogs who would luuurve them some deep-fried cat turds. I’m just sayin…

Okay, so I’m getting “squirrelly.”

Hell, no.

So it’s between drugs and deep-fried cat turds? Damn, I always get stuck with the tough decisions.

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

You know, I keep trying to get FCM to bottle up whatever she has because she’s so energetic and get a ton of stuff done. So far, no luck.

Now eleanor isn’t sharing. What the heck is up with that?

C’mon, I needs me some energy. Don’t you remember what you were taught in kindergarten in regards to sharing?

Yeah rigs, c’mon. Share with us! One of us! One of us!

Whew - finally got here! As soon as I got off work, I had to empty some stuff out of the van, get the mortgage check ready to go (shoulda done that LAST week), take 2 of FCD’s prescriptions to CVS to be filled, take some stuff to the boat, run by WalMart for dog food and kitty litter, drive thru for some dinner, then come home, feed the critters, and catch up on the MMP. Whew! I still need to sort thru the bill pile and pay a few. There’s a good time. Plus I get to scoop the cat’s box. Oh yes, it’s a wild night at FairyChatEstates!

Tomorrow’s plans - take a load of trash and recycling to the convenience center, try to get the lawnmower running, then mow the side yard, and probably other stuff I forgot. Thursday, I’ll pack, and Friday around 11, I’ll head towards Richmond.

I slept like the proverbial log last night - I was beat. Hoping for more of the same for tonight - I’m still kinda dragging.

loune - never tease an overlord with chocolate. Some things are not funny. Just so’s you know.

Thanks, everyone for validating my kitty litter hider thing. My spousal unit was not impressed - he thought it should have been covered in a neutral fabric. He obviously doesn’t know his daughter very well.

I think that’s all I’ve got. Howdy to anyone I slighted - you have to make allowances for me - I’m old. Hugs to everyone, too, just because I’m in a huggy mood. And now I’m going to go close all the windows because it’s starting to get a tad chilly in here.

Taters I found you another squirrel recipe. I bet you’ll like this one!

Hi guys!

I missed you all soooo much yesterday. We had a cable internet outage ALL DAMN DAY! I was jonesin’ pretty bad!

So I did some chores. Today, too. In two days I have: watered the plants, swept and mopped two bathrooms and the kitchen, cleaned the baseboards of Dad’s two rooms, vacuumed the two rooms, including edge cleaning with the little tool, cleaned one toilet, washed two loads of sheets and towels, helped Dad pack for a couple of hours, went to Penney’s and bought 3 bras (buy 2 get one free!) and a shirt and pants for work, went to Target and bought a new whisk (with a black handle to match my other utensils,) went to the movie store and got Brokeback Mountain and Crash, and went to the EZ Tag store to get Dad a tag. And went to the bank to get our interest income statement from 2005 for taxes. And cooked dinner (bbq ribs on the grill for six hours. OMG!) and did dishes.

And boy are my arms tired! LOL! I need to go back to work (I’m on vacation) to get some rest.

My phone works but the screen is dead. At first after it dried out, the screen was working, but not any more. So Tom is out buying me a Razor phone.

Welcome to all the newbies! (FYI - my cell phone got washed in the washing machine. Don’t do that!)

I hope all the sickies and owies will feel better soon. It sucks to be sick.

Hubba, hubba Bobbio! You are looking good!

I hope everybody’s trips are going smoothly, and job and school offers are forthcoming, and that everyone is just happy, dammit!

Time to cook supper. I’m trying out a new recipe for pork chops - with mushroom gravy and rice. Mmm! I’ll post the recipe if it’s any good.

Later, kool kids!

Rebo I’ve given Taters two recipes for squirrel today. I’m just mentioning it in case you get in the mood to make something for supper a little different, is all. Several of the second recipe and you wouldn’t care what you made for supper. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, there were four loads of clothes (which is about normal. Have I mentioned recently that Mr. Lissar is tall?), a quilt, a load of sheets, and a load of towels. Normally I do four loads a week, but this week was one of those “Everything needs washing!” weeks.

I have done something to my ankle. It hurts a bit.

I have also spent a while looking up t shirt tutorials. I bought four new t-shirts for summer, but I think once they’re washed they’ll be a little short, so I need to sew ribbon/extra fabric/lace/whatever on to the bottom. I got excited, pulled out a pile of t shirts, and have been alternately staring at computer tutorials and sitting on the floor slashing up shirts. I hope to renovate a number of shirts for spring/summer wear. I’ll let you know how it goes.

What? Like don’t share lollipops in the sandbox?

<insert disingenous smiley here>

Now that sounds like a good recipe! A little rich, perhaps, but tasty all the same!

As for dinner for tonight, I’m thinkin’ Tater Tot Casserole. Yeah, I know, not fancy or anything, but my son was asking me to make it, so I will. I’ll have to head to the store first, though and get some of the ingredients. I need fruit and stuff anyway, so it’s probably good that I go to the store.

Do you know that faxing paperwork is friggin’ expensive?! We don’t have our own fax, so we had to go to a little copy place to have it done. It cost me nearly $20.00 bucks. I had like 36 documents to fax.

I couldn’t use my office fax because a: it’s gov equipment, and, b: the number was not toll free.

I just had a piece of peanut butter toast. It’s the first thing I’ve eaten all day and I’m strangely full. I only ate it because my son made some for him and offered me a piece.

My daughter and hubby are currently crashed out in the great room. The daughter has been sleeping for quite some time now. Hubby just recently came home from work and was tired.

Final amusing note: Mr. Taters was lurking on the Dope last night. When he lurks people think I’m on because I have the page set to automatically log me on here at home. So, anyway, back to the story. He finishes lurking and said, “I just learned something on the Dope”.

I said, “Really? Well, there’s lots of smart folks there, I learn quite a few interesting things.”

He said, “No, what I learned was that if that little circle next your name is lit up, it means you’re currently on the Dope”.

I just laughed. He’s been lurking as long as I’ve been a member and just now noticed this. I still can’t get him to join, I’m TRYING, I’m really trying. I told him that if he joined, he could actually post.

He won’t do it though. And, he knows better than to post under my name. He’s seen what happens when people do post under other user’s names. Also, when I first joined, my son, who didn’t know better, posted something in the Pit under my name. Fortunately, people recognized the post wasn’t my style and figured out what had happened. In the meantime, I received a warning e-mail from TubaDiver, or was it Lynn Bodoni, telling me this was a big no-no and I could have posting privileges revoked. After I explained what happened, my privileges were reinstated (I lost them for an hour or so) and I promptly apologized to everyone. That was embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as what happened to Hal!

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

You are full of P&V today, aren’t you? Besides, it was “don’t share hats” because of head lice, remember?

We weren’t allowed to have lollys on the playground.

Lookee, timely humor!

I just walked in the door from P/T. Part of which was an ultrasound treatment on my bum. Yes boys and girls, I lay on my stomach with my pants down while a very attractive, very tall young lady ran the little ultrasound wand over the side of my cheek.

Wait, I said it was timely, I’ll get to that.

So to ease the tension that I at the very least was feeling, I made a joke - asking if they wash that thing before the next person gets it?

Her answer was to ask me if I had anything I didn’t want the next person to catch.

Ha. Head lice. Right-o kiddies, don’t share hats, I remember it well…
Ok, now off to make some quickie quesadillas for dinner, shower, stop for coffee and go to a 7 pm meeting at which I fully intend to tell a group of 12 parents and police representatives what they should advise the superintendent to direct me to do.

Is anybody besides me disturbed that Taters is making Tatertot casserole for dinner! I mean sure, they can get on your nerves sometimes, but isn’t that a little extreme?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha! I laughed uproariously when I read this. My looked at my like I was crazy and told me I had lost my mind. I had to explain what you wrote!
