Compared to what we face today, Nixon was a saint. Like all previous presidents except for the current orange-hued traitorous felon, Nixon was at least a patriotic American and acted rationally, often promoting policies that would be considered progressive today, like establishing the EPA, trying to improve the health care system, and opening up trade with China. Elmo has already announced huge price hikes for Teslas coming into Canada, independent of the additional costs of potential retaliatory tariffs. Tesla sales in Canada will probably wind down to near zero while this madness goes on. I don’t know how Tesla costs or sales will be affected in the US. but the North American economy going in the shitter isn’t going to be good for anybody.
