Chris Rock’s monologue: the most mean-spirited, unfunny Oscar bombing in memory (so far; he’s just covered “The Passion”). Bring back Billy Crystal…

Hey, I thought Chris Rock was hilarious this year. For everyone he bombed, he bombed their opposite just as much. He even got on himself.

Well lookie there. Mr. Freeman won his first Oscar. It’s about time, really. 
I thought Chris Rock was okay, but he went on about Bush far too long. Why did he get a standing ovation? (Or maybe they do that every year, and I’ve never noticed before?)
Agreed that Rene’s hair is much too dark. Yikes. Like the dress, though.
Ah, Morgan Freeman. Classy, brief, to the point. Nice.
Speaking of dog poop, that guy who accepted the Oscar for art direction—his accent reminded me of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

I liked Rock. His meanness to the other celebs makes it quite like a Brit award do.
Halle was HOT, Renee was not.
Delighted Freeman won. He was great in MDB.
