Hey, floors don’t take 29 mins to dry!
Are you sexist; you think only guys drink before noon? There more mumper wimen talking about it than mumper men.
I was tahred last night, so I went up to bed early…& then watched TV for 1½ hours, but then woke up at a reasonable (Daylight Savings) hour today. Been a good day so far.
**FCD **just called - he finally made it no NC - he said traffic in SC was awful. It usually is, in my experience. According to his GPS, barring problems, he should be home around 8. Poor baby…
Howdy Y’all! Today we have accomplished deheathenization, N.O.L., and nappage. 'Tis a damp and chilly 53 Amurrkin out. We shall dine upon leftover chikin pot pie and baked sweet N.O.T. (gonna bake ‘em up in a little while) this evenin’. This has been the excitatement in south Jawja today.
If you watch Doc Martin, which is set in Cornwall, you can see how Martin Ellingham struggles with those doors and ceilings a lot. It’s some quirk of the region, I guess.
emily, I second (third?) the bag balm. Wear gloves or old socks to bed though, as it will get on teh sheets otherwise and be aware that it stinks.
Happy Purim bowser! I always liked any holiday that encouraged sweets, alcohol consumption and costumes.
doggio, are the army men on a peacekeeping mission?
I heathenated this morning and helped solve the world’s problems over lunch with them at Hogwarts (it’s a dining room on the Vandy campus where we meet that looks like it’s right out of Harry Potter). After, I went to the town next to mine for a tabletop easel from CL. It’s a better fit for the studio. If I paint outdoors, I’ll drag the big one out of the laundry room.
I fixed breakfast for supper. It was a bowl with leftover rice, provolone, black olives, chopped spinach, bacon crumbles and two aigs cracked on top, then baked for 20 minutes. Twas yum!
Dessert shall be still-cooling brownies…washed down with a S’more. What a wonnerful, chocolaty way to end the wickend.
I can start us off tomorrow, too.
Moommmm I have a face book acquaintance visiting her homelands of Cornwall and just today she posted she visited a pub that is 900 yrs old and the people were very short back then and in this pub built in 1066 she said some parts of the interior are less than 6ft ceilings even the front door. Her hubby is well over 6 feet tall. Interesting these two things would pop up in my world on the same day.
House is as clean as can be except for the junk room but that shall be taken care of next weekend. Mayhaps I can get a day off in the middle of the week and work on that some. Or I could be sick a few days from now. Hot day today in the mid 80’s.
See y’all in the new MMP.
I did watch three movies this weekend so some relaxation was had. Still not at all happy bout time change. Night.
Wow, what a day yesterday! We took a train to get to friends for the Purim meal, and then took a train home. We left about 10:15 a.m., and didn’t get back until almost 11:30 p.m. Guess what - our Pepper dog held everything in, and we didn’t have anything to clean up in the apartment. What a surprise! A Purim miracle!
There was a dust storm yesterday - windy and the air was full of dust. The cars today are filthy, and we have a layer of dust on everything because we forgot to close two of the windows.
