I was thinking zombie also, until the real zombie showed up. Pretty sure that the walker was making the noise. Of course, that means Dale was particularly into ‘our gang’ mode, since the sound would have been either behind or at best to the side of him while he was staring at the cow.
Re: Maggie and Glenn. Not sure if they are talking, or Herschel is prodding Glen to pick the relationship back up. It’s been 7 or 8 days (a week to let Randall heal up, and then I guess one more day) - so really hard to say. The only interaction between them that I remember was non-committal, with Maggie telling Glenn to go out and see what Dale was screaming about.
And yet that cow was clearly still making noise and was what attracted Dale to it. Rick’s ass was saved in episode 1 because most of the undead went for the horse he was riding. Now Dale’s attacked by a zombie who… what? Decided to take a walk and stretch before resuming it’s thanksgiving feast? That doesn’t make sense to me.
His name’s Jimmy, he’s the young girl’s (Kathy? Beth?) boyfriend, and he’s still there. Lori told Carl to go stay with Jimmy while the rest of the group debated Randall’s fate. You also see him in the first episode holding his girlfriend before she goes over to her mom.
Daryl didn’t exactly share about the rape, but he did say that if the other gang arrived, the women at the farm would wish they were dead. I think that’s all he wanted, or needed, to say.
I think probably yea. I mean, it takes strength and time to disembowel a cow. The zombie managed to do that and eat for a while, then got bored or “full” or whatever passes for a reaction, then wandered away and came back. If an organism is functioning solely on brainstem activity, there may be simple drives that control it and nothing else. Get full, wander away, stay in the general area of the full, have the opportunity to attack again.
What exactly did the zombie do to Dale that I missed? One second he was fending off a bite to the face, the next his chest was burst.
Load of shit episode. The last two made me think that the show had redeemed itself. Normal bullshit service with this one. Probably the worst show I’ve seen that has a significant following.
You’re right. Now that I see it again it doesn’t make sense to me either. For whatver reason it lost interest in the still living cow, then lost interest in whatever distracted it from the cow when it senses Dale. Also how did one zombie manage to disembowel a cow like that? :dubious:
Not only would we be screwed, that’s the one hard and fast rule the writers have given us. Non-humans can’t become zombies. But, yes, I also thought it was a zombie cow and was kind of annoyed at that.
Also, I really don’t understand why they were making a noose and trying to figure out how to kill Randall. Is there some reason they couldn’t just shoot him?
Rick is once again a dumb shit. He should have just killed Randall in town. It would have been the humane thing to do. And we wouldn’t have had to listen Dale’s diatribe. That guy was getting annoying. At least Lori wasn’t a whiny bitch in this episode. I was so rooting for the zombie in zombie vs. Carl.
And it was Rick trying to make the noose. If Dr Jenner whispered in Rick’s ear what everyone seems to think he whispered that Rick would’ve have considered any other execution method other than a bullet to the brain (well, maybe a beheading).
On “Talking Dead,” someone from the show was discussing that - he said that they figured that zombies would have very bony, sharp fingers. I’m not really buying it, either, but what the heck!
Good question. Great that he’s a decent guy, and can’t kill a human being in cold blood, but not great that he can’t do a hard thing that has to be done.
I think he will get fingered for it sooner rather than later - this show doesn’t really do long, lingering secrets (see: Lori’s pregnancy - “You can’t tell anyone!” Five minutes later, everyone knows.)
