Happy Easter; the season finale is tonight. Finally we get to see the Woodbury Militia invade the prison. Anybody wonder effect the zombie apocalypse has effected how any surviving Christians celebrate Easter?

Happy Holidays; the mid-season finale is tonight. Finally we get to see the Governor’s new gang invade the prison. Anybody wonder how the zombie apocalypse has effected how any Christians celebrate Christmas?
I was just thinking about the ending to last weeks episode I thought “Well, so much for the redemption theory we were bat’n around in the other thread. He’s still just as big a bastard as he ever was.”
I’m a little disappointed. I’m really not interested in a prison war redo.
Rick was right - if they can’t share the prison, no one gets it. Way to go, all you dumbasses. I do agree with the Governor, that all the good places have people in them already, but that doesn’t mean that no one is taking in new people (if they don’t show up with a tank and an ultimatum).
And once again, Carl could have saved the whole mess with his bad-assness - if he had taken the shot when he had the chance, Hershel might still be alive.
I know that was sarcastic, but backing up to the water gives them at least one side they don’t have to be watching. Of course, sitting up on top of the trailer and staring out at the lake instead of the woods that are 15 feet away was kind of boneheaded. They would have been much better off in a big wide clearing. OTOH, maybe it was a hot Georgia summer day and they wanted the shade. Someone also should have taught that kid not to talk so loudly (“Mom, come help me”), it’ll attract zombies, but I guess that’s moot now.
Anyways, one of the reasons Herschel didn’t want to leave his farm was because a river ran along one side of his property, it offered him a lot of protection.
It had to do with the “warning: flash floods” sign Megan uncovered. They thought the river made them safe when it actually left shallowly buried zombies from the flash floods.
The one that killed the kid? I don’t think it was ‘buried’ on purpose. The sign she flipped over said to watch for a high or high water or something like that so I’m guessing the zombie got caught in the water and that area looked like a small, landslide or a creek that drains from the forest when it rains, that’s probably what covered it up (and brought the sign down). Considering that they specifically went out of their way to mention that zombies get stuck in water, I’m guessing that’s all it was.
Well the kids were carrying her, then they decided to go fight. I know kids are dumb, but there had to be more to their plan than just dropping the baby were they stood.
I am assuming she is still alive. I have to say I found the conflict tense and effective. I am glad they are leaving the prison behind. Onward to some new stories. For example, who was on that Radio.
A good episode! Tense, well paced, advanced the story line…
One small problem I had though was why Lily was such a godawful parent. Maybe it takes one close call for you to learn a lesson that you can’t let your child play without supervision in the apocalypse, but she had that last week. Why was she off playing 100 yards away by the edge of the woods? Just dumb.
I liked that they didn’t waste everyone’s time building to a cliffhanger for the half season. Thank you. Sorry to see Hershel go, but if they don’t kill off regulars then the show loses some of the meager amount of tension that it does have.
