I thought John Lennon was as non-violent as they come. 
Rebar is pretty heavy stuff and bends moderately easily. A more muscular person might be able to wield a rebar spear without tiring and without having their movements slowed too much, but (even as said muscular type), I’d go for a sharp object like a chef’s knife bound tightly (even glued or welded) to a length of 1-inch conduit. Substitute 1-inch Sched 80 PVC for a smaller person.
A lesson for us all: When posing with a sword trying to look like a bad ass, make sure your cat isn’t lounging in the background looking unimpressed. Cats always look unimpressed.
Not sure if this fits, but the need for swords would be reducedif this was your zombie-proof house.

I think the ultimate zombie fighting weapon is the one they invented in the book “World War Z” - short, light, sharp, strong, re-usable.
I think a really sharp, long screwdriver would also work for those of us who don’t want to carry rebar around.

I like this return to the original. Weirdly I like Father Gabriel more in the show, and I’m excited to see what elements of the comics they decide to use.
Carol and Daryl are teamed up for the first time in a while! Yay! Although I wonder if there will be an awkward love triangle there - I kind of hope not, as I always thought the possible Daryl/Beth undertones were just uncomfortable.
