They both got killed looking out for Noah. Stop blaming the victims.
Tyrese, maybe, though I think he was tired and it was just a matter of time – and it happened to be Noah he was with.
Beth, well (I don’t remember the details: cop lady wanted Noah back, which wasn’t part of the deal? Was that it?)…in what way was it reasonable to stab her with that tiny pair of scissors with everybody pointing guns at each other? Beth’s lucky she didn’t get everybody killed! As it turned out, it was just herself, but she indeed was responsible for her own death there (and crazy quick-draw hair-trigger cop lady, but Beth did stab her first…)
Bullshit. Tyrese was a dumbass and it was only a matter of time before that mopey lion got himself killed. Noah didn’t make him sit there staring at the pictures daydreaming just waiting to get bit.
As for Beth, I think troub has it covered. No one asked her to throw down for Noah. The smart move would have been to exchange and then come back for him later.
Of course I’m biased here, but it seems to me that the kind of people that would most appreciate an engine sound are the kind of people that know what an engine sounds like.
The real sound of Daryl’s bike sounds like music to me. Pity they had to dub over it.
Skip ahead to about 3:02 to hear what it should have sounded like.
I think I wrote at the time that Beth’s death was part of Team Grimes general moral degeneration, a theme that’s been going on all season but is more apparent in Alexandria. (Note: I really mean the core of TG, which is to say the persons who joined after the prison don’t count.) Beth didn’t attack Dawn to protect Noah; she was planning it before Dawn tried to press-gang him. Beth attacked Dawn because she wanted revenge on her. Her actions were precisely as stupid and ill-planned as the Termites’ attack on the church, and I believe was mean to parallel it, just as Rick’s execution of Cop!Bob was meant to show him becoming like Gareth.
Speaking of the core group, who is still around from the original group?
Daryl
Carol
Glenn
Carl
Is that it?

I’m guessing you meant to include Rick too, otherwise Glenn came along with Rick from Atlanta.
What do you mean by original? Rick started out alone and picked up people at various points along the way.
No, he joined a group.
Well, I tried to edit and it had been too long.
I supposed they first became a group when Rick and Glenn met the people from the camp that ended up including Shane, Lori, and Carl. So the original group is indeed probably Rick, Glenn, Carl, and Carol. Darryl joined slightly after Rick found the group from the camp, right?
Joined and TOOK OVER a group, without even overtly trying much. So I can understand how people think of the group starting with him.
Of the Atlanta group, counting that as originating when Rick somehow shoved Shane out of leadership, only Rick, Daryl, Carol, Carl, and Glenn remain.
Of those who joined at the farm (which is identical to the Greene family), only Maggie remains.
Of those who joined at the prison, only Judith, Michonne, and Sasha remain.
Everyone from Team Abraham survives, and they damn well better keep on surviving, because Tara is too pretty to die, Abraham is to awesome to die, and Rosita is both. Oh, wait, Eugene is neither pretty nor awesome.
Everyone else has joined the choir invisible.
Glenn was already part of the camp group while Rick was still in a coma. That’s how Rick made it to the group in the first place: Glenn brought him. It’s not like the two of them randomly wandered around local resrvoirs until they stumbled upon a camp full of strangers.
When I say “original” group, I mean the original campground group led by Shane.
Both Daryl and Merle were established members of the camp group while Rick was in a coma.
Yep. When Rick rode into downtown Atlanta on horseback he met Glenn, Merle, Andrea, and T-Dog, who were part of Shane’s group. They took Rick back to the camp with them, minus Merle who Rick had handcuffed to a pipe on a roof downtown.
Tara was actually the only surviving member of the family the Governor joined, and then they and him joined and took over another group that he convinced to assault Rick’s group at the prison. Team Abraham joined later and has lost not a single member, lucky SOBs!
I actually find it strange they allowed Tara into the fold without even a discussion, seeing as she was on the same side as a damn tank shooting up the prison.
She proved herself during her tenure with Glenn in Team Abraham, and Rick intuited during the prison siege that she had been either deceived or coerced into participating.
You’re right, I honestly can’t remember if Glen even questioned her once which he should have realized where she had to have come from.
I just can’t get behind saying Team Grimes has degenerated morally, if anything they were too moral in their treatment of Gabriel.
Seeing as how Carol is a leading member, there is no way they are going to start systematically raping women or enslaving the Alexandrians or butchering and eating them or throwing people to walkers for minor BS. If taking charge and doing things that need to be done like saying you don’t abandon injured members of the group at the first sign of walkers, or taking charge and saying you’re not keeping a barn full of walkers nearby count as moral degeneration the term is being stretched beyond all meaning.
When Glenn found Tara, she was taking cover from the walkers, crying and traumatised. Glenn checked her gun, discovered that it was full, and asked her if she’d fired any shots during the attack. She said no. That’s the point (it seems to me) that Glenn decided she might be worth helping/keeping.
