As Rick and the others continue to acclimate to their new surroundings, they consider a return to normalcy.

Kevin Smith, Ross Marquand, & a mystery cast member on Talking Dead.

The first house the group stayed in had all the photos removed from the frames and the frames were neatly piled. They made a point of showing this.

The house Sasha is staying in apparently still had all the photos. Is there going to be an actual reason for the difference?

And Rick just mentioned how easy it would be to climb up the supports.

Yep. I was wrong.

Ok, creepy, scary Carol…

Carol tells the BESTEST stories ever!!!

Have they never heard of PTSD?

I’m coming around to the idea that this is the creepiest situation they’ve been in yet - our gang do seem to be the bad guys now. And yeah, PTSD out the wazoo - can they not give these people a bit of space to decompress a little?!?

And where does someone who has spent almost all of the ZA in a safe place get the nerve to tell someone like Rick about how we’ve all lost so much? He should have turned on his heel and walked away from her right then.

Agreed, though I think whoever’s carving the Ws into the zombies will turn out to be the bigger bad. I loved the visual demonstration of just how precarious their situation is at the end.

As an aside, Alexandra Breckenridge (plays Jessie - was on “The Talking Dead” tonight) has the worst voice in the history of the world. I cannot stand listening to her nasal vocal fry.

I was thinking that Carol, Daryl and Rick might be planning to give the Alexandrians a demonstration of why they should be a touch less complacent, but maybe the W carving group will do that for them.

I thought the douchey guy from last week was Diannes son, this weeks guy was not the same right?

Man, I’m so hungry I could eat a horse.

Anyway, three weeks ago I was pretty much ready to give up on this series, but the Alexandria storyline has, by damn, rekindled my interest. Some great stuff tonight: the awkwardness of the cocktail party, Rick’s deep scariness, Aaron and Darryl bonding, and Carol’s speech to the kid, which for me was one of the supreme moments of the whole series.

Also glad to see they are, at long last, working some dry humor into the proceedings. Aside from the “death or cookies” scene, the spaghetti dinner and Michonne’s wordless bit of business as she looked at herself in her uniform cracked me right up.

Oh heck, I’ve been posting in last week’s thread. In summation, Carol and kid best scene.
Darryl looks like a likely season-ending casualty because there is some humanizing of him in this episode and Norman Reedus is a guest on the last “Talking…” this season

I think you’re spot on. I think they are very much depicting our gang as the threat - as the bad guys - at the moment. However, I think it would really be too much of a risk to have our protagonists really proactively engage in morally questionable behavior. Carol’s threat to the kid and Rick’s kiss and creepy stare at the end are already challenging. I bet they will take them up to a moral brink and then have the external threat eliminate the moral ambiguity.

She has more than one son.

I thought Deanna’s Frat Boy son was named Aidan last week; her son this week was named Spencer (I think). It’s possible she has two sons, of course, or I’ve misunderstood something along the way.

They just raised an interesting point on Talking Dead about whether the Alexandrians know everyone has a dormant infection & will reanimate unless they died from brain trauma. On one hand I can buy them being that sheltered & ignorant, but on the other could they really have gone 2 years without anyone dying of natural causes? :dubious: Especially when they have elderly residents?

Ooh, maybe the W on the zombie’s forehead was actually an M for Morgan!

It doesn’t seem likely - they must know by know that everyone re-animates if their brain isn’t destroyed.
