Well, Hell.
Definitely. He overthrows bigger and bigger groups as he goes on. This time it’s going to be a coalition of the Kingdom, the Hill, Alexandria and who knows who else.
And of course Negan is going to be killed. By Rick. When Rick says he will kill you, killed you will be.
So, now we’re going back to split story lines, and a focus on the different groups each week. I really don’t like that. At least it won’t be as bad as GoT.
Yep, but he never said when.

I sure hope it’s not “in a couple years.”
I’m not sure if everybody gets the “Previously on The Walking Dead” scenes in their area, but I have to figure any episode that starts with a rerun of a past scene involving that cell will end with Negan in it.
There doesn’t seem to be any other reason to *have *that cell, except to lock up people who really need to die (and from which they can escape to kick off another round of drama), to the futile frustration of some of the characters and almost all of the audience.
If it comes down to having to go through Morgan to execute Negan, I think I’d be just fine killing both of them.
Bonus if Carol gets to do it.
Extra bonus if Carol, Daryl and Carl get to do it together while Maggie and baby laugh.
Well, yeah. She needs a spot to recoup and then re-energize.
I’d still prefer more kick-ass Carol than teen-spirit Carl. I’m on my 3rd teen male heading to adulthood… seeing another on tv just makes me roll my eyes. Especially since this one is not all that smart: my 8 year old ( back then) youngest son was exasperated with this show because of plotline odditities, “I wouldn’t act that way” and the whole not a pet to be seen (back then, now there is the CGI tiger.)
I guess none of us are “from a comic to a tv show” kind of people/viewer. We do like some of the Marvel comic movies… but they aren’t weekly.
~sent from my 3ds because my less than a year old Win10 pc diec on election result day.
At least my ire is being tempered since so few sites load for a 3ds.
send me internet thoughts until it gets back from the manufacturer.
meanwhile on Animal Crossing: New Leaf…
There was provocation. That group that Daryl blew up with the RPG started it.
I’m not sure Rick would start a rape squad that would dole out its victims to others on the basis of earning points. Though with his example of the doctor’s wife when he first came to Alexandria, I guess Rick isn’t above trying to steal another man’s wife like Negan did outright.
So this makes zero sense (I know, I know…TWD) Negan has the foresight to remove all the guns from Alexandria, but like I railed about last week, lets the kingdom pick the meeting spot for a tribute payment, allows the kingdom to be armed, and allows them to pay said tribute while armed. We saw how close that came to bloodshed when everyone on both sides pulled their weapons. If Negan uses these same tactics (humiliation, hostages) then every subjugated community would be just as itching for revenge.
And I will second or third the sentiment that some one of the Saviors would have killed Negan by now. When everyone goes around armed to the teeth all the time, just having witnessed the apocalypse, and your tactics are to flounce and pontificate like a elementary school bully, someone is going to shoot your ass, even if they don’t have designs on taking your position of power.
Yeah, good point. Negan and his men march right into the other settlements and bully everyone. Why does The Kingdom get to keep the whole deal secret from its people?
And to answer a question that has been raised here before, when Abraham found the RPG there were four shells. One was loaded onto the weapon, and three were still in the case. We’ve seen two used, one on the bikers, one to light the fuel/pond, so that left two that Rick could’ve should’ve used…see the “bunch up for the fireball” picture above.

I’m guessing it’s because the Kingdom didn’t kill a ton of Negan’s people while they were sleeping, like Rick’s gang did.
And IIRC, the Hilltop goes out to meet Negans group at a predetermined location too. Remember last season when we first saw the Hilltop? That Hilltopper came back from a meeting with a “message” and stabbed the Hilltop Prez, then Rick killed that guy and said his famous line - “What?”
So apparently Daryl blinked some Morse Code at Rick.
The Morse Code poster in Rick/Michonne’s house was a nice touch.
Daryl blinked out “I EAST”
More generally, Negan has just brought Rick’s group under his control. At this point in time there is a higher probability of resistance from a group in that position vs. one that has been under his control for a more extended period of time. I would imagine that given time Negan would be treating Rick’s group much differently than his current “continue to dominate them relentlessly” strategy.
Executive Producer Dave Alpert was on The Talking Dead Sunday. He said that Negan was not going to confiscate the guns, until Carl pulled a gun on his men.
It was clearly planned all along, since Rosita already knew they wouldn’t be allowed to keep their guns after Dwight grabbed all the guns from the car. Maybe he wouldn’t have made as big a deal about a couple of missing guns if Carl hadn’t threatened him, on the other hand.
Admittedly, Negan wasn’t at the Kingdom pig exchange, but that is exactly what happened there. Except that instead of one person pulling a weapon, all of them except for Ezekiel did.
So perhaps they are deliberately setting up a situation where Negan’s lieutenants aren’t behaving in the methodical manner Negan himself would, and this lax attitude becomes a weak spot that can be exploited by our plucky heroes.
I disagree, admittedly taking the word of the Executive Producer. But it doesn’t make sense for Negan to totally disarm his ‘employees’, because they need to protect themselves when they’re out scavenging for him. It’s a risk, but a necessary one. He had Rick cowed, and if Rick kept control, no problem. But when Rick’s own son couldn’t be trusted to have a gun, Negan decided to take all of them.
I think that being given half a week to prepare for Negan’s visit (thinking it would be a full week) someone would have doctored the inventory books, or disposed of them, and cached some guns and ammunition offsite.
