My guess is that Negan doesn’t want his people exposed to the anti-Negan thoughts of the conquered. His people might get the idea that there is a better way to live than the Negan way. There also exists the possibility that his people might talk about Negan’s main camp and the outposts, the locations, what their strengths are, what the weaknesses are, the total number of saviors, how much food and ammo they have, etc… A loose-lips-sink-ships kinda thing.
Negan didn’t think it was a reload. He saw that it was hand-made. In the scene in the machine shop, we see Rosita taking brass items from her rucksack. After she attempts to shoot Negan, we see a shot of the spent case, which looks like it has a longitudinal seam that would indicate it was formed by rolling a sheet of brass.
Many of the worker-bee Saviors seem resigned to their fate. Another day, another shit-load of Negan-isms and abuse. The redhead could have given Michonne the vehicle and walked back to Neganville and deal with the consequences. But what type of punishment does Negan dole out for losing a truck? A beating? Starvation? Sing a song? Screw it. I’m tired of all this crap and don’t see any other way out. Shoot me. And do it quietly.
It was? I guess I missed that. Hard to believe that Eugene brings any useful skill set to The Saviors…
But Eugene specifically said " It required one spent casing, one four-holed turret reloader, powder, one funnel for the powder…"
Negan made a comment about the crimping on the casing. I assume that was from the reloading process and what gave it away that it was a reload vs. manufacturer’s original.
It wasn’t perfectly clear but Negan seems to recognize who’s useful (to him), and who isn’t.
Spencer proved to be disloyal to Negan’s new Alexandria scavenging group. Can’t have disloyalty in the ranks. Sets a bad example for the others, don’t cha know. Buh-bye Spencer.
Anyone who can make loaded cartridges in the ZA would be very useful. Hot lead is the new gold.
Yeah the whole thing with picking up the casing was really forced. The first thing to concern yourself with when shot at is whether it was factory ammo or a reload. Especially since they are tasked with scavenging for weapons and ammo.
In the real world, there would have been no taper (for 9mm semi-auto types), or rolled (for .357 revolver types) crimp . The heat, and pressure, of the propellants rapid expansion from solid to gas would have caused the brass to form to the barrel’s chamber. A spent one-time reloaded brass would look exactly like a spent factory loaded brass. Dirty, burnt, and dented from hitting the ground.
In comic books and TV programs, there would be an obvious crimp, and a micro stamp that says made in Alexandria.
I’m surprised that Lucille didn’t bounce off Negan’s head from the force of bullet passing thru it.
If Rosita was aiming at Negan’s head, and the bat was between Negan’s head and the muzzle of the barrel, and Rosita can hit what she aims at, the bullet should have passed thru the bat and found Negan’s head. In addition to that, the energy transfered from the bullet to the bat, especially at that distance, should have then driven the bat backwards into Negan’s head. A two-fer.
Well, a fan can dream, can’t he?

Daryl was right to kill Fat Joey - they’re going to kill all the Saviours eventually, so take the one out that is probably going to raise the alarm in about 30 seconds.
Carol is protesting way too much - if she really wants to be left alone, all she has to do is leave. Maybe she likes all these gentlemen callers.
So, Daryl has escaped, and a bunch of people from Alexandria have pissed Negan off today. They do understand that if they leave a single soul that they care about in Alexandria, those are the people that Negan will use to get back at them and get them back in line, right?
Also, the last time Daryl was merciful to a Savior it didn’t exactly turn out that good. I’m was not at all surprised that he killed Fat Joey.
I’m stupid, but was it Spencer that turned into a walker?
If so, how come? Negan gutted him, so how could Spencer turn?
Everyone who dies with an intact brain reanimates. Being bitten is fatal, but it’s not the bites per se that cause the reanimation. The pathogen that causes reanimation is lying dormant in everyone; that was confirmed in the last episode of season 2.
He was lying in the street, his transformation was easy.

As far as Eugene being useful to Negan - doesn’t matter. I think the point is that Negan realized Eugene was useful to Alexandria so that’s why he took him away. This way he keeps his enemies short handed, and adds yet another valuable resource.

I’m thinking maybe redhead girl was escaping when she ran into Michonne’s road block? I mean, how many Saviors have we seen alone? They always travel in packs. So, there was no going back. She’d rather be dead than go back or try to survive alone.

Just MHO, but they’re going to have to kill Gregory. No way he’s going to be on board with going to war, and he may even try to sabotage any attack they come up with.
Gregory? Is he the guy who is supposedly in charge at Hilltop? If so, good riddance!
If Negan wanted to keep his enemies closer, he should have taken Rosita with him. His harem must be getting kind of boring by now anyway.
“Here, hold my bat.”
The women in his harem are there voluntarily.
