No idea why she wouldn’t just kill the long haired trouble maker guy.
It was quite perplexing that he – the long haired trouble maker guy, that is – wasn’t the choice!
Missed the opportunity. When LHTMG tried to grab the Kingdom-woman’s gun and got smacked down, Maggie should have shot him right then as a lesson to the others.
I would have been happy with that!
Thanks, I heard that part. I thought there was some discussion about the next day and the Kingdom and Alexandria that I missed and gave an idea to what Maggie was planning. I can always pull it back up on the DVR and re-watch.
Me too.
Well, we’ve already seen Rick going full tilt bat shit crazy several times. The problems are not really with the characters, although “doing stupid shit to advance the plot” getting reused over (Rosita) and over (Sasha) and over (Michonne) again (Daryll) gets very annoying. At this stage the group should be smart and they should be united, manufactured drama between them and out of character stupidity just annoys the viewers. Apart from that the Saviors seem to turn magically uber competent whenever the plot requires. They went from not being able to fight a pathetically small horde of zombies to having enough men to ambush all three of the colonies simultaneously and enough firepower to level all of Alexandria in about 20 minutes. The saviors we saw last night would have crushed Rick’s rebellion and his zombie horde before brunch.
Hey, people should like what they like.
That said, bad writing makes me really angry. I’m not attached to the characters, because the characterization has been so all over the place that these aren’t “real” people to me. They’re more interested in driving stupid manufactured crises than in how people actually would behave and react and interact. They had a pot of gold in season one, and they pissed it away. The lost potential leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
Agreed. If we all had the same tastes, it would be a boring world. If you like it, you like it.
Yea, that’s me allover. Sorry I am so shallow. Hey I used to watch 'The Young and Restless ’ like this. It is a guilty pleasure. And, I am okay with that!
I didn’t even see Carl get bitten last week, but I called it as soon as he wrote the letter to Rick. Classic I’m-gonna-die move. And from what I’m reading, this is a permanent death, and he’ll probably die during the season premiere in February since he’ll be on Talking Dead afterward. So it seems he won’t turn out to be immune to zombie bites, or anything that progresses the story like that.
I hoped maybe with Gabriel and Carl both dying, maybe something interesting would happen. Then again, I’m not entirely sure what happened to Gabriel anyway.
I would love for Carl to try to suicide bomb Negan, or for Rick to go on a murderous rampage, but with this show, probably not. Rick’s probably gonna withdraw and be stupefied again until the spring season finale. We’ll have to look to Maggie, Carol, Ezekiel, and maybe even freakin’ Dwight for leadership.
I’m also annoyed we had to spend 2-3 episodes with semi-naked garbage people for nothing.
Why did Aaron and Enid not approach Oceanside right away? They arrived during daylight. It’s so much more suspicious to be lingering near a compound at night. You know they’re armed. To me, it played such a big part in the grandmother’s death. They’ve probably lost any chance of an effective alliance now.
They went to a distillery to pick up some alcohol as a gift.
And of course there was still alcohol there, along with a working truck. Yeah, I’ll buy that.
Me too! Extremely annoying!
Post too much.
I had read a spoiler that Carl was gonna buy it. I was waiting for him to go out in a blaze of glory, doesn’t he know anything? If you’re going to die, but you know they want you alive, make yourself so nasty to come near, he had to have some guns near. Instead he crawls into a hole, possibly putting the rest of them in danger.
It’s getting kind of tiring seeing the same stuff over and over. They keep talking about wanting to kill each other, but they just play with each other instead of doing it. I didn’t really care what’s happened to any of these people all season long.
It’s only a matter of time before they start making out.
Ri-Gan, anyone?
I’m sure the actor who plays Carl is itching to do other stuff, especially now that he’s 18. You can’t do The Walking Dead for your whole life!
I’m calling Neegan’s last words to Rick: "Now you’re Neegan. (Unless Maggie kills him.)
Agreed; there was no reason to make this a 90 minute episode.
Is Judith even still alive? I can’t remember the last time she was seen or even mentioned.
I think Maggie’s thought process is starting to go along the lines of Negan killed Glenn, the Saviors are all Negan, therefore the Saviors all killed Glenn.
Doesn’t Riggs want to go to college?
