The watch the birdie MMP

I just had a major five-minute sneezing fit. I hates those, I do.

Bobbio, it’s good they let you have a meet-n-greet with your new organ before they put it inside you. Very considerate, I say.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Yay for no pukers, Butters.

Glad you get to meet the new liver, BBBobbio.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 53 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 85 for the day. A nice day to be stuck inside.

BBBobbio sounds like a buncha good news all around. Hope the meet 'n greet with the liver goes well.

Rockin’ sorry you didn’t get notified. Apparently whoever is in charge of Mumper memos is a slacker.

Spaz preach it! I get those sneezin’ fits as well. Hates 'em I does!

gotti never a bad thing to keep a little snack on hand, or in your case, in beard.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumby tummy is hongry. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Looks like I do get to check in today. Higgs (surprise surprise) woke me an hour before I needed to be up, so you benefit. Lucky you!

I’m sure **FCD **cried himself to sleep last night since Dallas lost. I crashed long before the game was over. I really don’t much care about football.

It’s supposed to hit 80° today - I need to leave some windows open when we go. I may even switch on the attic fan thermostat if I remember. The plan is to get to my mom’s around 10, take care of business there, then head into the city to my sister’s place for lunch and scooter retrieval. With luck, we’ll be home by 4. I hope. Don’t need to be caught in rush hour traffic, TYVM!

Good luck, BBBobbio! Maybe they’ll invent a bionic liver for you!

And so it goes. Happy Tuesday!!

Blurf, y’all.

The really galling thing is my present liver is self destructing through a mechanism that does not include alcohol. If I’m gonna contract a fatal disease, I want to have fun doing it, dammit.

That wasn’t a goldfish hiding in your beard, it was a clown fish, which makes you a giant, walking sea anemone!

Mebbe it’s self-destructing due to a lack of alcohol, kind of like kids who cut themselves. My advice to you is to listen to Bluto’s advice to Flounder:

Happy Toosday!

It’s a cloudy 49 degrees with a high of 75 predicted. I hope it doesn’t rain.

My niece and her bf should be here around 10 to load up the truck and go. I need to get stuff ready, clean out a file cabinet and desk. I hope they will all fit on the truck.

I had a horrible nights sleep last night so I feel like hell. When the dog wasn’t waking me my bladder was.

Hope all goes well at the meet and greet BBBobbio

I’d tell you to wave on your way by FCM but hopefully by the time you are coming through here I will be on my way out.

I believe they take you off the list if you do that. :dubious:

I agree, Bobbio, you should at least have some cool stories to tell about how you destroyed your liver, if nothing else. But yay for being a possible transplant candidate. Tell them to make sure it’s a Republican liver. You’ve got enough internal distress to be saddled with a liver whose opinions clash with yours.

It’s going to be 70º 'murkin today, and cold and rainy tomorrow. Yeah, it’s Autumn.
also - Tuesday flavored blurfage

Damn. I nearly choked on my breakfast burrito.

So, was your shirt yesterday darker? Not that I’m suggesting that marking you was her purpose, or anything. Just askin’.

BBBobbio - thinking good liver thoughts.

Sari - hope the move goes well.

We got a new bathroom faucet yesterday. Not for good reasons. The Son hasn’t gotten the metal sink plug thing to work properly, yet, but I’m not the one who shaves, so I really don’t care. I told him that if it was more trouble than he wanted to take, I wouldn’t mind using a rubber stopper. He’s the stubborn sort though, and a bit OCD. He wants it to be right, dammit.

Did not remember to look for wildlife over lunch, yesterday. Sorry to let you all down. I’ll try to remember today.

We got closer to getting my Mom’s estate wrapped up. We did it by giving up on the desert property in San Bernardino. It’s been appraised at about $2,000 and it will cost $2,000 to do an ancillary probate and change the title. Ancillary probate is what you do if the person who owns California property didn’t live in California any more, so that the will’s being probated (or otherwise dealt with) in another state. Apparently California is snooty and won’t take another state’s word that you’ve inherited some of Their land. Jerks.

But since we’re letting property go, and because we distributed a van and a truck to two grandkids that weren’t named heirs, we need to have a TEDRA written up and signed by all three heirs. That’ll add $400 - 600 to the lawyer bill, but it will make it be over. Over is good. After that, I just need to throw out the property tax bills as they arrive and eventually San Bernardino County will foreclose.

This is going to be a big load off the back of my mind. Assuming my youngest sister has no problem with signing. She shouldn’t, but I’m not going to tell the lawyer to draw up the papers until she actually says yes. My middle sister is going to talk to her today, if she’s reachable.

When I get the email saying go ahead, you may hear the WHEEEE! from here.

Blurf.

I has interview tomorrow- just for a Christmas temp job. They want so many buts of paperirk that it’s taking me all day to get them printed out, filled in, photocopied, signed by the Pope… I’m pretty sure it’s mainly a ‘can you follow directions’ test, as I can see no good reason why I’d need to print and bring one form already signed, but another form that also just needs signing will be brought by them to be signed there.

It’s sort of a mini treasure hunt, but less fun.

I was planning on doing more gardenin’ stuff today, but I feel terribly blurfy, there’s only a few hours of daylight left, and I still need to go to the library to photocopy my passport and associated things (these guys will take expired UK passports as evidence of right to irk). Don’t think I’d get much done.

Note to Bbobbio, when meeting a new liver, a bar is not the place to meet up if you want to get on well. Maybe a cafe or something, take it slow, but check liver 'n onions isn’t on the menu first. Livers are easily scared.

I don’t know why I was upset abut waking up late.
I know my niece well enough to know that if she says she will be here at 10 she really means 11:30. She can blame it on having 4 boys but she has always been this way.

Time to pack up the computer.
I’m looking forward to getting home and having some furniture, but I am not looking forward to all the work.

Had to call in sick. Ugh. I need new sinuses.

Eh, I’ve been called worse.

Nuts - good luck on the job.

Bobbio - good luck on the meet 'n greet. Sorry it’s come to this. :frowning:

Sari - Yay for moving day!!

Gotti - how’s the free water going for you my Bay Area compadre? Down here in the South Bay it’s been a bit here and there but no gully washers. Friday though is supposed to be a big one - just in time to get the kiddos soaked for Halloween.

Today we’re off to meet with Sunny Son’s Special Ed team to discuss behavioral support at school. The good (?) news is that they want to keep him in a regular classroom. The bad news is that he doesn’t quite get regular social stuff, so he’s having issues. I haz a sad today.

In other news, we started at about 45 Amurkin with a projected high in mid 70s away from the Bay. Sunny and beautiful. Din din shall be enfrijoladas unless the kids grumble, and then they get Chinese leftovers.

Happy Toesday y’all

I read that as “livers are easily scarred” which I suppose makes sense in context.

We got a cool front! Huzzah! Now’s the time of year when I get to start bragging about the weather, in return for my brain melting out of my ears each summer while y’all are doing fun things like having picnics and barbecues.

Free water? What’s that? We got just enough of a dribble from the sky a few days ago to transform our dusty truck to lightly mud-spattered.

I just looked at last month’s water bill, and I’m trying to figure how we’re using 320 gallons a day. It’s actually well under what the water district hopes people will use, but we’re not re-filling hot tubs or even taking baths. Maybe I should encourage the landlord to put in some new 1.28 gallon toilets. Hold that…I’d rather encourage them to install PV first as we have a nice broad south-facing roof that gets lots of sun, and we’re still in sticker shock on our electric bills.

The power (heh) of nearby nuke plants - in Charlotte, there were two nuke plants within ten miles of us, and power was a flat 9.4 cents per kWh. Here, we’re paying up to 32 cents per - nearly four times as much.

Some of our pipes are embedded in the concrete floor. We had a leak in part of it and did not know until we received a large water bill.

Yeah, gotti, that much water usage for two people sounds like a water leak.

My foot still hurts.

gotti=Gotpasswords.
Who knew?
Everyone but I.
