Oh, dark chocolate M&Ms. Where have you been all my life? How I wuvses you!
Have you met my new boyfriend *mint *chocolate M&M’s?
Howdy from da cave! Irk is over for the day. We have been a loquacious bunch today I see.
gotti dang! There has to be a problem somewhere to use that much water in a month.
spaz hope the foot feels better soonest. Also, since a hurt is a kind of sick, Soft Kitty.
Ima grill up a couple of ribeyes, steam up some asparagus, warm up a couple twice baked N.O.T. I yanked outta da freezer, and bake up some rolls for dindin. Tasty and easy, just like the way I like my men.
not yet, but I sure am looking forward to it.
Gotta take advantage of late October days in the mid-70°s, so I went out to do what I did on two wheels instead of four. I was a mile from Krispy Kreme & only had 50¢ in my pocket.
How did you of all people miss them, they come in a purple bag.
It’s almost time for mint (Hershey) kisses! They’re much better than mint M&M’s
Dark chocolate m & m’s? Ooh… I don’t think we get 'em over this side of the pond- we do occasionally get the crispy ones though.
Can keep yer Hershey’s though.
Home at last!! Much longer day away than I’d hoped, but Higgs done good and didn’t pee in the house, so yay for that!!
I’ve got 4 boxes of stuff from my mom that will be planted in the coming days. **FCD **cut down several trees for her and I helped haul cut up branches to a big pile next to the woods. Then we went to my sister’s house and she took us to lunch at a Greek place. I wasn’t impressed - my garlic shrimp wrap only had 3 or 4 shrimp. But the calamari was good, so there’s that.
We’ve got her scooter here, ready to be disassembled and painted. **FCD **will be busy. And I have some more yarn, so I need to figure out what to do with that. Meanwhile, we’re not getting any local channels and the number for the cable company is busy, so it’s probably not just us.
We also came home with a hunk of date nut bread and a box of cookies from my mom. So there’s that.
Meanwhile, I’s tahred! Glad to be home…
I’m actually not worried about the water. The water district’s website says a typical home water bill ranges from $80 to $400 a month. Last month’s bill was $52, so we’re doing our part to keep some water in the reservoirs.
What I want to know is who are these people sucking down 2500 gallons a day?
And just a reminder to everyone to avoid the “pumpkin” M&Ms sold at Target. I believe my initial reaction to them was BLEAH!
Dindin is ingested. I done good. OYKW went back to his place to deal with paperirk again, poor thing.
gotti pumpkin anything is ick IMO. Gotta agree with Spidey about the mint chawklit Kisses though. YUM! Also, bummer about the KK Spidey. I’ve been know to near bout pop a wheelie to get in KK when the “Hot Now” sign is on.
MOOOOOOM yay for Higgs doin’ good and homemade goodies!
You should have a P.O. Box.
A couple of weeks ago I had a blood vessel burst in my eye accompanied immediately by a migraine and severe headache several days after that. I went in for a Cat scan today. The tech asked me how long I’d been having the problem. I answered and then he told me that my doctor’s office would receive a report in 1-2 days.
That was around 3:30. At about 5:25 I missed a phone call from my doctor’s office and they left a message asking me to call them back about the Cat scan that I had done. So… Are they likely to call me back so fast because they just happened to get the report quickly and wanted to share the good news or because they found something?
I admit, I’m a bit nervous. Thoughts?
I’m home - finally.
My niece showed up at 11:30. She couldn’t go with us because she wasn’t sure she’d be back in time to pick up her kids from school.
So her bf helped load up the truck and road up with my mother. Now I have some real furniture and he hooked up my washer and dryer for me.
Biggest surprise - my mother likes my house.
Sah-son gave the dog a bath, once he got the dog started up the stairs Sah-dog did them on his own. Maybe stairs with carpeting are less scary to him.
I’m sleepy, being up half the night is catching up to me.
Worked, coughed a bit, came home.
Especially if you show up for the meet with fava beans and a nice Chianti.
He who laughs last. Is slow.
{{{{sticky}}}} Hope it’s nothing
{{{{Nettie}}}}
Sunny, I don’t get the social stuff either. Hope Sunny Son can get better at it.
Dog excrement and wet leaves.
But you’ve seen a lot of that.
Easier to pick up that way.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 59 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 83 for the day. The weather PTB say we should have rain this evenin’ with a cool front movin’ in tomorrow. We shall see.
{{{StickyBuns}}} it is kinda scarey when they get back with ya so fast. Here’s hopin’ for good results.
{{{Nettie}}} hope the sinuses are feelin’ better today.
Sari yay for furniture, washer and dryer hookups, clean Sah-dawg, and bein’ back at your place!
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I left this silly machine on all night last night. I must have been standing in the wrong spot when I checked it - I didn’t see the lights. At least it puts itself to sleep, so there’s that.
A few days ago, the forecast was for rain most of the day today. Now it’s 30% chance this afternoon. Which is fine - with luck, I can get some planting, etc, done today. I’ve got 4 edger blocks to put in the garden, too, and a few pavers that need to be reseated. I see a day in the back yard. Temps are supposed to stay in the 60s, so that will be pleasant.
I can’t believe Higgs let me sleep till nearly 7!! I’m sure the fact that it stays dark has something to do with it. We’ll see how that changes after the time change this weekend. **FCD **is still in bed - he chainsawed several trees for my mom and his back was killing him yesterday, so he went to bed with pain killers and a sleep aid. I pulled the curtain and locked the door so he could sleep unmolested by sunshine and the critters.
My other big plan for today is doing a load of unders. They’ll go into the dryer because it takes too doggone long to hang up all of our dainties.
Beyond that, nothing else on the agenda. Brace for chilly, I guess - by this weekend, we’re promised lows near freezing again. I’ve just finished a hard-boiled egg sammich - yum - and I’m still caffeinating. The only sound is the hum of the fridge, the licking of the dog (she finds her feet delicious) and the click of the keyboard. And a bird singing somewhere outside. And traffic in the distance. Life is good.
Happy Wednesday!
Blurf. That is all.
me, too
It’s National Cat Day!
