I refer to the Women’s College World Series. (NCAA final 8 in softball.) I discovered this sports gem last year, and I love it. I wouldn’t watch MLB or women’s basketball if you paid me, but this tourney is terrific. So, anybody want to rave about their team or the series?
p.s. I propose that the winner play the winner of the men’s baseball series in softball. I know the men wouldn’t be able to pitch, and I doubt they could hit the women’s pitcher.

I think it’s a good sign that Michigan won the D-I title last year. The sport is stretching beyond its traditional geographic power base in the West and Southwest.
I’ve watched a little of it. My alma mater is in the semifinals, so I’m trying to fit it into my TV schedule.
Hmm, perhaps that’s why women’s softball was playing on one of the TVs at the gym today. Oregon State was playng someone (ASU?).
Made me wonder if the OSU ladies use the same team name as the guys…
