And yet Czarcasm just warned me for using it. Seeing as what happened with Twickster for trying to warn against using the word cunt (which is a hundred times more offensive), I expect this warning to be rescinded.
If it is not, I will know you are just targetting me, when so many other posts on this board use that word all the time.

I’ll admit I was surprised by the warning. It probably had more to do with your tone than the use of the word “fuck” though.
I don’t know if this link will remain active, but you’ll notice that the word “fucking” has been used in 750 posts just in the past 18 days.
Don’t get me started there. I’ve seen much worse tones than mine. I may not be able to search for it, but they are there. Please don’t give a reason so the warning can be retrofitted. If they had a legitimate reason for warning me, they already know what it is, and don’t need help. They claim “language”, and if that is proven wrong, they have no leg to stand on.
I’m pretty sure it’s because I got a warning for my misphrased post that was not supposed to be a threat. (Marley, a good mod, acknowledged that he understood what I was going at, but kept the warning as a reminder, saying since it was only my first, it’s not that big a deal.) Now they think I’m a “troublemaker” and can warn me for what they want and come up with something later.
I hope this is not the case. But, right now, I don’t see any other evidence.

For what it’s worth, I was warned for saying, “you have no fucking idea what you’re talking about.” I never quite understood what exactly was against the rules about it and always assumed it was the extra oomph provided by the f-word.
ETA: I also bolded the “no fucking idea” part, so maybe the boldness contributed as well. I think someone should compile a database of acceptable vs unacceptable phrases in hopes of coming up with a concise set of rules.
You can’t. As I already pointed out, they permit it sometimes, but not others. When it gets to the point where you can’t even know what the rules are, why would anyone bother trying to follow them?
Surprise. I even flat out predict what you’re going to say, and you do it anyways. Make an actual argument, or you’ve de facto said that you just made up crap to get someone in trouble.
I have never been this mad in my entire life. I have never been mad for however many hours this had been, and I’ve never had my chest hurt because of anger.
If an authority figure does something wrong to hurt you, what in the world are you supposed to do to fix it?
Funny thing is, if you’d actually asked me to calm down, I probably would have apologized. Funny how beating people with a stick makes them mad, but just asking them nicely can get your point across.
I’ve learned not to respond to posters that demand a response, but claim that they will only accept a specific one-it is a nasty spiral that leads nowhere. I will say, though, that if posting on this(or any) board actually causes you physical pain, you might want to step back a bit and do something else for a short while.
Depending on the forum, there would have been moderator action for “You have no idea what you’re talking about.” That’s a personal insult that would not be permitted in many of the forums.
We generally don’t care about use of words like fuck or shit, so long as the use is reasonable (i.e., if every other word was “fuck”, that would be considered excessive.)
It’s odd that it seems so obvious to me why you were warned BigT. It wasn’t that you used the naughty F word, it’s how you talked to another poster in IMHO.
I say it all the time on this board in addition to various other naughty words, but it’s never aimed at anyone. I don’t even think I’ve done that in the Pit. It’s part of not being a jerk.
So if your warning had fallen under the “don’t be a jerk” rule instead of the inappropriate language rule, you’d have been okay with it?

I’ve been warned before for talking like that in imho. It was a similar situation, where the words themselves were nto at issue, it was the way I addressed another poster.
IMHO is for opinions and discourse, not addresing each other in the manner you did. That’s what the pit is for.
Czarcasm, this is the type of thing that annoys posters in regards to your moderation. You warned Big T about his language, but here you agree that it had less to do with the language and more to do with the tone. If it was the tone, then why didn’t you say that the first fucking time?
You’d be wrong. I don’t post lies. I actually hold myself to a pretty high ethical standard. The fact that I did nothing wrong is precisely why I am mad about this. I broke no rules, other than one made up on the spot by our lovely mod that no one respects. And it is in fact my ethics, and not any respect for this moderator, that keeps me from retaliating.
I honestly need to get to bed, but I’m too upset to sleep. I need my sleep schedule to be consistent, or I have problems.

If you know that you need a certain routine in your life for the best outcomes then you should try to stick to that routine whenever possible. Best thing for you and for everyone that interacts with you.
