Think about it this way: The very fact that you are reacting this way to receiving a warning is a sign that you were acting reasonably per your own sense of morality. So you can give yourself a pat on the back.
This is nothing other than a difference of opinion, and no one is in the right or wrong. Relax, let it go, and decide how best to avoid getting one again while sticking to your principles. The best way may simply be to avoid, as much as possible, those with whom you have disagreements:)
It has been a fine rule here for as long as I’ve been a member. Maybe it’s because I’ve been around here so long, but I have a pretty good idea of the “don’t be a jerk” rule, and also the inappropriate language rule. They aren’t that ambiguous. You clearly broke it. I’m sorry. I hate that you’re so angry but it seems that you were really angry in the post you were warned on as well. If you’d addressed me in your warned post, I’d have reported you myself. You just don’t talk to people like that in IMHO unless you don’t care about warnings.
I get that the board has become a big part of your life. It’s been a big part of mine too. But you simply must not allow yourself to be so easily hurt or angered here. That’s for your own benefit. There have been times on this board I felt heartbroken (see any illegal immigration thread) and angry (see the trashing of unschooling). It’s at those times I have to step away from the board and look at fuzzy kittens or listen to Rush. It’s just not a good idea to reply in anger. You get fussed at, or just generally make a fool of yourself. Been there, done that. Never got myself a warning, of course! (fingers crossed)

Since this board has female as well as male posters the word is totally inappropriate. There are plenty of decent words that can be used in its place. Not to mention that it is a public posting place. The use of these kinds of words in public show a lack of education and concern for the feelings of others. They do not make the poster seem tough, just ignorant.
