The word "fuck" is not against the rulrs

Horseshit.

Czarcasm brought on the enmity and the nitpicking by singling out language specifically. Maybe it’s hard for you to see that, looking through your mod-colored glasses like you do, but it’s pretty easy for others to see.

Sorry, this is just incorrect. Have you actually read this thread? If you had read the warning itself, and the rest of the thread, as has already been pointed out the warning did not cite language at all, and the PM said that the post itself was inappropriate as well as using inappropriate language. Language was just one part of what made it inappropriate.

Czarcasm has already responded in this thread to indicate the reason for his warning. There is no reason for him to keep restating it once it’s been explained.

May I suggest:

and

as alternatives? I’ve started posting less here, there more and enjoying the whole process a lot better.

No need to respond to MTCicero-five posts in a row with nothing new to add usually indicates that someone just needs to see their name in print.

BigT, as many others have pointed out, your warning wasn’t just about your use of the word “fuck”(although I for one will be glad when this “Year Of Tourette’s” finally winds down). It was the combination of language and tone in a post that obviously belonged in The BBQ Pit, not IMHO. Now you state that you want the right to post angry missives anywhere you want, but you refuse to do it in The BBQ Pit because you you don’t want others to respond in kind? Would you mind explaining to me why you alone should get this special privilege?

Just because you think you’ve predicted what I was going to say doesn’t make it wrong.

This just isn’t believable, unless you’ve lead a very sheltered and pampered life.

In this case, you shouldn’t automatically assume that all the fault for the problem is someone else’s.

You started this by Pitting someone inappropriately in IMHO, making specific demands on my part, rejecting any responses that didn’t involve a complete reversal and a public apology from me, and now you are upset that I wasn’t polite enough? Although I may have been curt, I wasn’t impolite, and the reason I dropped out of this conversation initially was because I felt that nothing I could have said honestly would have satisfied you.

Hello, Mr. Pot. I’ve got someone to introduce to you. Her name is Ms. Kettle. (She’s really hot!)

What on earth are you talking about? You were just complaining about Czarcasm not responding.

Make that six pointless posts.

BigT, I doubt this will go on any “permanent record” of any sort – I think you have to be a total asshole for the admins to start building one. I’ve been warned in the past – I think damn near everyone here has at one time or another. But when I once asked if I had any past violations flagged, none were listed.

I don’t think you have to worry about being banned.

Why else would one want to be a moderator? Seriously?

Seven.

Oh, I get it. If you don’t automatically side with the mods around here like a craven coward, then you’re “inane”, or “pointless”, or “you need to take a break from these boards”.

The moderators aren’t deities, you know. They’re just people, all too flawed and human. You know, like the rest of us. (Well, not me. Of course.)

Deported.

Don’t you hate it when you forget to add the proper emoticon?

Well played, Sailboat sir!

At this point, it’s obvious that you’re simply engaged in parody rather than serious criticism.

I just recently registered with this board. I have registered with many many boards and some of them have much larger written “rules” than others. Some of them are so large that I just no longer have the patience to read all the rules in full.

I guess I just figure that if I get banned for bad language, I didn’t ever really want to belong to the board anyway.

And if I get banned instead of getting a warning, then the same thing applies.

So, my bottom line attitued is that, I will join a board and I won’t necessarily read all the rules in total detail. Then I will just be myself and try to be respectful of others and use common sense and try to avoid being a jerk. If I still get banned, then I guess I never really wanted to be a member anyway.

But after having been registered on this board for a few days, I really like it.

Reported.

I’ll take a lesson of your book and not respond to someone who is deliberately trying to set up an antagonistic relationship.

I will give you this, though. Actually read the thread without your blinders on, and you’ll see I wasn’t pitting anyone. I was angry. To pit I would have had to try to insult. I just wanted to express my anger.

Other people have figured it out, why can’t you?

Yes, let’s continue to make jokes that insult people and prove that this crap about caring about “hostility” means nothing.

Most everyone is in agreement that you’re in the wrong, man.

BigT, as someone who virtually never gets involved in board drama, and who has recieved two warnings (one for telling a mod to fuck off—well worth it too, at least at the time) I think you really need to let this go.

A few warnings is NOT the end of the world, the moderators will NOT change their collective minds anyway, and by keeping this whole situation alive, if there is a next time that you show up on the radar, I would imagine that they will remember this prolonged discussion and be even less likely to give you any benefit of the doubt…

Just my two cents, from someone who dosen’t want to see you stress needlessly about something so very trivial.
