The worst of the worst met their ends with Obama as President

Another cretin heard from.

The sad thing is that he doesn’t believe he’s either stupid or wrong. Unless he’s deliberately trolling. But Hanlon’s Razor suggests he’s just fucking brainwashed.

No, I think what really happened was similar to what Eddie Murphy postulated 30 years ago. As for laughing, it’s definitely more of a “sometimes that’s all you can do” response.

Guys, Clothahump is an old man who’s suffered a lot of head trauma over the years. He’s simply not capable of thinking his way through an idea anymore. All he can do is look for the helpful color coding and cheer as loudly as he can when he sees the right shade. It mostly works pretty well for him, except that time he was escorted out of the Smurfs movie for yelling at “all the damn democrats” on the screen.

They died of Obamadiation.

Yeah, Fidel Castro’s revolution was 57 years ago, it is still the controlling power in Cuba, and Castro himself just died at the age of 90.

We sure showed him!

We had a goooooooooooooooooooooooood long-term plan.

Trump will probably take credit for Castro dying on his Presidential-Elect watch. Countdown to a new Trump casino in Havana.

He will need somewhere to store the money he got from his Deplorables; it could be a lovely off-shore haven.
Then again, he never gambles w/ his own money, AND he couldn’t use his stand-by bankruptcy protection so it’s really anyone’s guess.

As long as the bastards are dead, that’s all that matters. Still it’s strange that Bin Laden was so hard to catch under W, and then under Obama, he gets whacked.
A cynic might think the W admin and the Repubs wanted him around, as a very convenient bogey man.

we attempted to poison Castro during the JFK administration. Our slow acting poison finally got him.

A single person can be very hard to catch, particularly a guy who knows how to hide out locally. Which is why W was advised at the time not to make the Global War On Terror about getting one guy. But W did so, very publicly and loudly. After a period of years failing to find and get Osama bin Laden, W and his administration quietly gave up on the goal. The goal was still there in the public, but it was a background issue not the focus. Obama took the opposite approach: take the goal seriously, but do so quietly. When they finally got some information on where bin Laden might be, they acted on it. It was a risk, because the intelligence was shaky. Instead of bin Laden it could have been some other scumbag in that compound - a drug dealer or a weapons dealer. If the mission had not gotten bin Laden, it would have been an extremely embarrassing diplomatic incident - a violation of the sovereignty of an allied nation for some low-level criminal. The violation was still there, but since we got bin Laden it was less of an international incident. It’s probably a big deal in Pakistan, but it’s not such a problem for the rest of the world. This is my long way of applying Hanlon’s Razor to the difference between the W and Obama administrations. Oh wait this is The Pit - I think the W administration was evil AND stupid AND incompetent, in contrast to the Obama administration which was smart, savvy, competent, subtle, and mostly good.

Yeah … but did Obama have to take out Robin Williams ?

A few years…how about seven months? From his March 13, 2002 press conference:

And, to be frank, I don’t believe for one second that catching bin Laden was ever the primary focus of the GWB Administration. I’ll even go so far as to theorize that they deliberately allowed OBL to escape into Pakistan, so he could Fedex his audiotape recordings (perfectly timed to coincide with elections and holidays) to keep the American public on edge. Like others said, a living boogeyman is ideal for manipulating the public’s fear. And remember those vague “terror alerts” they used to issue every so often, with no concrete details and never any attack (or even arrests preventing an attack)? Ain’t it funny how all that went away when Obama took office?

Gotta give mad props for Obama taking out OBL when he did. Not only was it risky as hell (had the mission failed, he could’ve kissed his second term goodbye) but he had to know, and was no doubt told by his advisors, that in the long run, many people in America would’ve forgotten all about it, or twisted the facts to prop up their own political bias.

Thank you for providing the details, buddha_david.

Here you go - timeline of the hunt for bin Laden. (and no - bush didn’t start anything rolling - he obstructed and his cronies ended the search).

Hillary Clinton

As far as I’ve heard, none of the second-amendment people Trump suggested kill her have done so. Do you have inside information, WillFarnaby or are you giving us a heads up on your plans?

Ha ha!

Remember back during the election when Trump promised to lock up Hillary Clinton or at least prosecute her for her “crimes”?

He lied to you. Won’t be happening. You are a sucker.

These aren’t mutually exclusive with what Adher said. While Obama regrets the destabilized power vacuum he left when Gaddafi died, there is no doubt that Nato air power was crucial for the rebel forces to be able to oust him. And whether or not the French were involved in the execution (the sources I’ve seen supporting this seem a bit tin foil hat to me). They wouldn’t have been able to do so Gaddafi was still in power.

If Obama had not decided to aid the Libyan rebels, Gaddafi would, for better or worse, very likely still be alive.

You’re a child. Except wrinkly and less fun to tickle.
