The Younger Gens Bush: Thank God for Family Values

I am loathe to bring the kids into politics, but to me, it simply looks like the Bushes are not very good parents. Or good leaders for that matter.

Oh, and Bush is a drunk cokehead fuckwad. Sue me.

As do I. I’m not referring to them. I’m referring to the over the top ideologues who run their campaigns based on the aforementioned “values.” To demonize their political opponents and condescendingly shake their heads at their parenting skills while raising a generation of spoiled monsters with a sense of entitlement the size of the state they claim to hail from is hypocracy, to say the least.

I’m not defending slander by any means, but since even in the Pit we’re supposed to fight ignorance, in American jurisprudence slander is a civil tort and not a prosecutable criminal offense.

Carry on.

LORD PALMERSTON!

I favor Triskadecamus’ moniker myself: George the Second; very reminiscent of George III, and we all know what he did…

and

and

So basically, these things are true because PinkMarabou thinks they are?

I’ll have to remember that’s the new standard for cites around here, at least in the Pit.

I think Bush is the worst President in my lifetime, (this includes Nixon) but I have to agree with you. PinkMarabou, this is your opinion and belief. I don’t think it can be backed up with facts.

No. They’re clear indications to someone who has been in the position of recovering from addiction to cocaine. She didn’t say she had proof or cites. Try a little reading comprehension.

Here’s a cite…of sorts. The National Enquirer claims that Bush is Drinking Again.

Before you laugh, remember that the Enquirer originally broke the Monica Lewinski story.

Well Okay now I believe it. :smack:  :dubious:

Hey, a lot of what the NE publishes is true these days. I don’t think they make things up out of whole cloth anymore. I’m willing to believe that a paid source actually told them this stuff. Of course, that doesn’t mean the source is telling the truth, but a guy can hope, can’t he?

Seriously, how much would it rock to see Shrub give a stumbling drunk Stae of the Union Address? I hope he’s back on the sauce just for the sheer entertainment value it could bring.

It would be awesome on one level but on the other hand Sober Bush sucks enough, Drunk and on a Bender Bush is truly frightning. We could end up at war with Canada.

He already spends money like drunken sailor…

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Well, the Enquirer’s medical commentary is by some guy trying to sell a book, so take that what it’s worth.

It’s both. For example, in Wisconsin:
quote=Wis.Stats. ch.942.01(1)-(4)]Defamation
(1) Whoever with intent to defame communicates any defamatory matter to a third person without the consent of the person defamed is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

(2) Defamatory matter is anything which exposes the other to hatred, contempt, ridicule, degradation or disgrace in society or injury in the other’s business or occupation.

(3) This section does not apply if the defamatory matter was true and was communicated with good motives and for justifiable ends or if the communication was otherwise privileged.

(4) No person shall be convicted on the basis of an oral communication of defamatory matter except upon the testimony of 2 other persons that they heard and understood the oral statement as defamatory or upon a plea of guilty or no contest.
[/quote]

It’s both. For example, in Wisconsin:

This is why I don’t cry when we start to invade
I don’t get angry at the bills we have to pay
I don’t get angry when the Prez smokes pot
Hits the bottle and goes right to the rock

With apologies to Sublime

M’lud, I think you’ll find that Drudge stole it from Isikoff at Newsweek.

Anyway, if one is trying to uphold the journalistic integrity of the National Enquirer, it might be better not to try, ya know? Who would have been their source, anyway? One of the alien abductees? Oh, right, sorry, that’s the Weekly World News. The Enquirer is all celebrity gossip.

If Bush is really back off the wagon, it’ll show directly soon enough. If he had a momentary relapse, so what?

Exactly. Thanks for reiterating what I have said a couple times in this thread. It baffles me how some people can read these things over and over and still not get it. Reading comprehension indeed!

NEW RULE: Posters are not allowed to use personal experiences, anecdotes, and advice. It will be discounted by other posters who have no experience with it and who have no idea what it is like to be in that position. They are more knowledgable than you because they say so and you better listen to them because their shit smells like roses in bloom. You especially can not say it when it has something to do with George W’s failings. He is holier than thou and can do no wrong. He does not experience things that normal human beings do. He must be the second coming of Christ.

I shall now pray to Jesus W. Bush. Forgive me my fellow posters for thinking for one moment that he is not perfect, that his life has been a beacon of light that we all shall strive to attain, and that he, above all others, shall be my leader and I will forever be humble to his teachings. Amen!
