I’ve been using the Straight Dope v3.7.3 theme. This morning the board was set to Sultanstheme. I had to go into User CP to make 3.7.3 the default setting again.
I don’t think I did anything at my end. My computer has been on all night, there was no big update, and I went back to a tab that was already open.
Alternatively, look and see if their is a lock sign on the left of the URL. That lock sign stands in for HTTPS now. If it instead says the word “insecure” and shows a lock with a slash, it’s HTTP.
Though I’d actually guess this isn’t the issue, as the latter tends to stick out. I suspect you just lost your cookies. Go back to your User Profile and set the default theme to the correct one, and I bet will stick. If not, try clearing your cookies for boards.straightdope.com, log back in, and then change the theme in the UserCP. That should fix it.
Neither worked, nor did toggling into reader view.
My bookmark still had http:// but that hasn’t been changed in forever. I changed it to https:// for the future.
Yes, it read insecure.
I did this first thing and no change has taken place since. I don’t think it was a cookie issue since I didn’t have to sign back in. I was just wondering if I was alone or a general board issue struck.
