There are 4' snow drifts in my driveway....

Yes, that same driveway that on Sunday was clear down to the concrete, due to unseasonably high temperatures. The driveway that again was clear yesterday at 5pm, because Mr. Athena went out with the snowblower. We woke up this morning literally snowed in - we’ll have to shovel our way out of the house to the garage, and shovel out the snow from in front of the garage to get the snowblower out.

I’m not sure what I’ll do when the dog needs to go out. The doggie is about 22" high at the shoulder. The snow is 4’ high. Maybe it’s time for the dog to learn about indoor plumbing.

I called my mother this morning to ask her, out of curiousity, if the schools were closed (she watched the morning news, I sleep in). She laughed, and said “The whole UP is closed! Nothing’s open, the highways are closed, just stay indoors!” Um… I guess I will!

Of course, this brings to mind the one BAD thing about working at home - no SNOWDAYS! I could be watching TV, goofing off, having a day off if I had to actually GET to WORK today. But nooooooooo… I gotta work at home. There was no snowdrift between my bedroom and the office, unfortunately.
