It hasn’t gotten very deep yet but there’s a snowstorm going on and roads are said to be greasy. They’ve told us we can leave if we are worried! Woot.
Be safe going home!
I work from home, so the only issue I have is: Will I be able to get up my driveway?
It was slow going but uneventful getting home. We have a rather…sporadic plow guy for the driveway so often getting in and out of that is the worst part of the commute! You turn off the main road and kind of slide/fling your way down the drive and spin into a parking space. Getting back out requires a running start and many prayers that no one speeds through what looked like a clear road.
I never did find one that was worth while. The last one I had didn’t show up after a blizzard for 3 days. I finally went out and started it myself. Halfway through the snowblower broke. I called him. He said he was afraid to take his plow down my driveway. (He was standing in my driveway when we signed the contract - that would have been the time to tell me this.) He finally came and finished what I started. He charged me full price. A week later we got less than half an inch. The sun would have melted it off. He came out and plowed *that *day - and charged me full price again. I told him he was done.
I went out and shoveled mine yesterday and am feeling it today. Getting old ain’t for sissies.
