Sunny, glad you and yours weren’t hurt, but yeah; when something like that happens at a place you know well, it does shake you up a bit.
Did my August shopping and ate lunch, so I have done most of my chores for the week already. It’s 92F outside, so I think slothage is in my near future plans.

Packing Hath Begun.
So, what have I forgotten? I’ll be staying 9 nights on site, the van should have most of the essentials, though I’m bringing my own bedding, so it should just be clothes, towels and toiletries, plus fun stuff.
Howdy Y’all! Thanks for all the bday wishes and such. I was goin’ to come back in and post my usual daily nonsense about weather and so forth but I got sidetracked with a discussion of whether to replace or repair an a/c unit over to the church house. Fun stuff that! All the discussion was via Messenger btw. Other than that I have accomplished nuttin’. I did no cave spiffin’ or other stuff. It’s my bday and I’ll live in filth if I want to! 
CupCakes didn’t say earlier, but thanks for the prayer. I got the same prayer via the Vestry email group. Nice when the Priest thinks of ya, is it not!
Nuts have fun on your trip. I shall let my imagination go wild as to what kinds of “fun stuff” you’re bringin’ along. 
We used my bday coupon from the good seafood place and had an early sup. I got fried shrimpies and OYKW got the catfish filets. I know catfish is not seafood but these filets are good. We shared with each other as we are wont to do.

Well, irk wasn’t so irksome as anticipated. The new guy on weekends has really hit the deck running and the monster count was voided, so now it’s just clearing my queue.
On the home front, it will likely be next week before the geek can set my rig up, so’s I’m still typing on the phone 'cause the dope doesn’t do well on my tablet.

Happy Birthday Swampy! Again. I did wish him a HB earlier today on FB.
We made it to Miami and back in one piece. Seven hours round trip which was very quick. We were about an hour and a half early for the appointment but within five minutes of arriving we were back with the nurse and soon after saw the Doc. Good report with instruction to return in 6 months. Not 10 minutes after we got home there was a fatal car crash about sixty miles back up where we passed a little more than an hour earlier. Had we not been seen early it could have been us.
I already don’t wanna go to irk in the morning. I guess today went well as I didn’t hear from any of my employees. We had sketties for supper and am about to call it a day.
I’m not sure but I bet it would have a hard time buying a wedding cake in parts of Butler County.

Defilthyfication of da cave and laundry are the items on today’s agenda. Rah. Sup shall be my world famous Eyetalian chikin and whatever side matter I decide upon. I do not feel very creative or inventive at the moment.

I was dirtier than I’d thought. As is my habit, I weighed myself when I got up. Then, for giggles, I weighed again after my shower - and I lost two pounds!!! :eek:
Bathroom scales are magical and mysterious objects… And, no, I didn’t pee in the shower…
Back in the office with a pile o’stuff awaiting my attention. Just another day in drafting paradise. Happy Tuesday!!
Bathroom scales are mysterious indeed. I can lost 7lbs by moving them across our bathroom and weighing myself in a different location. And our bathroom is not all that big!
Wet and miserable here today, and that’s just the weather. My boss had a nasty email from someone who should have known better. I can see that he over-reacted and misinterpreted her original email but it’s shaken her up a bit. She’s gone to see her boss about it, I hope he can sort it out before it all gets out of hand.
Nothing exciting otherwise, I swapped desks with the boss so she could get her variable height desk installed which has to go in a particular position. Now I am back beside the window but I’m in the far corner of the office so I almost feel like I’m hiding!
The Prednisone is messing with my sleep. I take it in the morning, but can’t fall asleep til 11pm. This morning I was awake at 4:45. Started the coffee and laid on the couch til 6:15.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today, but I have to drive an hour out of my way for my performance review.:dubious:

WetOne, side effects suck.
Morning all. Watered the front yard last night, will water the back yard here in a bit, so it is almost sure to rain in the next 24-48 hours. Hose is starting to leak around the nozzle, so either Gorilla Tape or a new hose is also in the plans.
Need to run Dishwasher, got these pods that purport to clean the inside of the dishwasher while they’re working. I’m skeptical, but will give them a try.
boofae, I once wrote something a little critical of my foreign customer to my boss, and it got back to them as e-mails will, which led to various Colonels lining up to chew my ass off. Hope the big boss realizes what happened and can settle things down.
Butters, long drive for finding out he’s ok? They couldn’t find at least something wrong with him to justify your time and expense?? :p;)
Nut, enjoy your trip, accept that you’re going to forget something, just make sure it is not expensive/critical to you enjoying the vacation.
At this point I have more dirty lawn dairy than clean & I go away on Firday.
