I would try putting the monitor out in the sun for a few hours. The bug probably won’t survive the heat. If you can’t see the corpse, the problem is solved.
So far this is more a curiosity than a problem. He disappeared and no matter what happened to him, there is no food or water in my monitor. I don’t see a future for him or his brethren in it.
It’s clearly a cyber bug, so it eats pixels.
