There's a hurricane headed for Ireland and Great Britain

Hurricane Ophelia formed in the eastern Atlantic in a spot where there has never been a hurricane before, and she’s heading towards Ireland and the UK. The US National Weather Bureau’s model map shows a straight line at the point where the storm’s path crosses 60 degrees north, their programs apparently couldn’t imagine a hurricane that far north.

Tell me there’s no global warming.

Now excuse me while I hunker down to deal with the first hurricane force winds I’ve ever experienced in my 46 yer living in Ireland.

Ftr, Ophelia is no longer a hurricane

And the first weather event of this sort was recorded in the 19th century…so it may be related to climate change…or not.
