There's a jet engine in my kitchen

In the kitchen of my Southern Abode there is a microwave oven, a convection toaster oven, and a hotplate. The hot plate takes forever to boil a kettle of water, so I haven’t been drinking as much tea at home as I’m used to. (I do drink something at work that tastes almost, but not quite, totally unlike tea.)

But wait! There’s my trusty Svea 123! It’s roaring away with its distinctive little jet engine sound. Soon the jet engine sound will be joined by the melodious two-tone sound of the boiling kettle.

Sweet.

… And there’s the second note. Never could get that when I used the hotplate.

Johnny, knowing you as I do, I’m sure you’re familiar with the following internet classic, but just on the off-chance you aren’t, may I present, for your edification, the Jet-powered beer cooler.

I hadn’t seen that. Now I want a jet engine. And a beer.

I liked the MGB-GT, too.
