I do have to admit that the story of zombie orange juice does turn my stomach a bit.
I can’t believe anyone considers orange-pineapple juice as something new. We had it back in the 50s, and it’s still around, in every supermarket. Bottled, not frozen. And orange-grapefruit too. And now they have orange juice with 50% calories, that doesn’t taste watered down.
I never look at frozen juice, maybe that’s part of it.
No, they have it non-frozen in cartons and bottles, too, right next to the regular OJ. I’ve bought it that way for 20+ years.
No you haven’t! This is all brand new!
How do you like Lem-Apples?
Pineapple orange juice has been around since at least my first tenure at Sears. But I shall not mock you, for it is a wonderful thing and my native dickery is tempered by my happiness for you.
What’s sad is that nobody makes banana milk any more. I blame the Turks.
I refuse as a matter of principle to order milk over the internet. There’s a sacred story that explains why.
orange juice with pinapple mixed in is great - but pineapple mixed with orange? that stuffs nasty.
Yeah, yeah. That Amazon thing as been around for well over a decade.
Suit yourself, dude, but know that you’re incorrect when you say that no one makes it anymore.
Take your facts back to Uzbekistan where they belong!
You can spin this all you want but there is one big difference between you and me. In a few days time, I will be enjoying the liquid ambrosia known as banana milk in the comfort of my own home.
My grandmother was allergic to oranges so we always had pineapple-grapefruit juice at her house when I was growing up.
Who’s spinning? I didn’t say YOU shouldn’t order milk over the internet. Anyway, if I want some banana milk, now I know whose house to send the flying monkeys to.
Allergic to oranges, but not grapefruit?
The ranting against fruit juice* mystifies me - the arguments are mostly specious and taken off the highest cliffs. That, say, OJ is not the wondrous health drink the Florida and California boards would have us think is one thing; equating it with soda and synthesized glop because the nutrition panels look much the same is just idiotic and ignorant hysteria. I am absolutely the last person on this board who trusts the food industry - look at how many people told me I was an idiot about Nutella! - but the folks who make arguments based on nothing but the USDA/FDA breakdown of components are on a par with flat-earthers.
While *Cracked *is sometimes as good as any real journalism site on some topics, it is a humor blog and their food articles in particular are about as accurate as anything from Weekly World News - the piece you cite in particular. It’s the hysterical arm-waving of someone who’s discovered that Disney is a mean, greedy corporation; that Tropicana doesn’t rush to your house to squeeze hand-selected oranges into your glass is just a horrible conspiracy… to someone who has no clue how the food processing industry handles nearly everything, the “freshest” and most “natural” products included.
- by which I mean any juice produced by squeezing real fruit and not adding much of anything to it, not glop that is half added sugar or other swill. I am not disturbed by concoctions that lower their price by blending cheaper, but equally real juices, or use product storage and freshening techniques to control their product flow. Those who think this is awful but chow down on beef that’s been hung to rot for a month need a reality check.

Yes, people who judge food based on its nutritional value are just like flat earthers.
some do. my aunt always made a big thermos of lemonaid before we went to work in the garden and she’d grab fresh mint, rinse it off, shove it in the thermos and shake it and when we were ready for a glass it was cazy good. I didn’t know until I was about 12 and had some at someone else’s house that it wasn’t “normally” made
with mint.
I recently bought mango-orange that actually was mango and orange, not flavored apple juice like most of them
This = true! They should even make a game out of it! (Remember those?)
