This ad- I remember a while back there being a debate as to whether this was a fake or not- does anyone know if it was ever determined to be a real ad?
I always thought it was a mockup done by Viz.

I’d bet, it’s a joke (blocked page at work), but would be certain that there are lard ads out there from many years back.
It is odd, but now Lard would be considered likely slightly healthier than old-style vegetable shortening. (Used sparingly of course!)
As soon as I saw the thread subject I knew that it was about an ad in Viz!
