Thin Lizzy--thin thinking

I think it’s damn cruel the way you’ve been stringing him along.

You guys tied on the humor meter. I kid you knot.

Strikes a cord with me.

And another thread unravels into punnery.

Wow. I’ve never seen the word “pluperfect” used in a simulpost before. Hell, I’ve never even heard the word “pluperfect” until now!

A Pit Thread devolves into a series of really bad puns…not once, but twice!

Meanwhile, a five-year member with 7,000+ posts gets banned way back on page one…and nobody notices.

I swear, you can’t beat this kind of entertainment for $7.48 / month.

Oops, forgot to add…

According to a couple parents I’ve talked to recently, classic rock is making a BIG comeback among middle-schoolage kids. RaWK oN!

Well, this thread already had 143 posts before the banning took place. Once banned, the membership status changes on all posts on all threads (since it is dragged out of the profile database when you open a page). You can find me listed as a Mod in threads in 1999 even though I only achieved (sank to?) that position last Christmas.

FISH!

Uh, what do you mean, “I obviously don’t get it”? Hey guys, where are you going?! Wait for me!

Actually, he had one post that he posted 7000+ times. There’s a difference.

Extra credit for using a Plaiditude. You can’t carp on him for that.

Now THAT’S funny.

Now that right there is funny, I don’t care who you are…

<mutter, mutter> Jesus…<mutter>…and all the staving people in New Guinea.

Thin’s been here 7 days. In that time, he’s started 53 threads, mostly in GQ.

Over 7 per day. That’s over double the number I’ve started in 6 years.

If they were worthwhile questions, that might be okay. Weird, but okay. But they aren’t worthwhile. Most are idiotic, and they bump more deserving questions from view.

How many times a day is someone allowed to post in GQ before it’s considered excessive?

Roland did about the same when he first showed up; got pitted for it too. Fortunately thin lizzy isn’t quite so mind numbingly wierd. Some of his questions are even interesting.

In fairness, I owe TL one. My search for threads that I started led to a great trip down memory lane.

For those who attended Chidope 2003, I recommend a review of the threads. Fun, although bittersweet at times, as a lot of the participants aren’t around anymore.

(Do a search on threads I started - option available through my public profile. That’ll get you the first couple. Links in those lead to the rest, including the truly scary post-fest report. Can you believe that the Grafton actually let me in the next time I showed up?)

I don’t know why not ask Westley Clark?

I thought starting threads in GQ twice within a few days asking for identification of the same plant was excessive all by itself. Did he forget in a few days that Blake had identified it more or less instantly the first time? See [thread=328449]Here[/thread] and [thread=327460]here[/thread].
