Things I (we?) should buy in the MMP

Yes, it is Canvas. We had problems a few days ago and have been told to be on the lookout for suspicious emails. Everyone’s changed passwords and done all the usual stuff, but it’s very upsetting for students as we head into final assessments and exams.

I take it that you all use Canvas. It’s been on the local news, given that several universities and public schools are affected.

Glad that Otis is feeling himself again, Mooooom.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and fixing to do KP. After, I’ll get sheveled and go pick up 'scrips from the pharmacy. Since it’s raining and will be most of the day, Sis and I decided to do our gallivanting tomorrow.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Any chance you’d be willing to share a recipe? This sounds interesting.

Huzzah!!! And good to hear she’s more lucid. I hope improvement continues.

The play was cute - it was called Go Fish and it centered on a shark who wanted to be everyone’s friend, but everyone was afraid of him and the other sharks made fun of him. It also featured a zebra fish with spots, a 7-arm octopus, a tuna that couldn’t carry a tune, a blow fish with allergies - you get the drift. Roxy was a seahorse, dressed like a cowboy, which explains Tobias’ outfit. And the moral of the story was that we can all be friends in the big ocean. There were some cute songs and adorable costumes - like clownfish with big polka dot bows and red ball noses!

I went to Aldi for apples, bananas, and milk. $60 later I was out of there… Yeah, I found a few other items I wanted/needed. Groceries have been stowed, laundry has been sorted and started, Otis has been fed and pilled - he’s back to normal - and I’m having lunch. I have a few food-related tasks to do before gardening. But for now, I shall dive back into my salad.

ATK Skillet Beef Enchiladas
Gift link - will be good for two weeks.

Sadly, the “you must subscribe” box cannot be dismissed for the recipe to be readable. :frowning:

Just put in the email of “none@noemail.com

I hope it’s not a real addy, it’s been getting all my spam since 1997.

Well, the painting is almost done, have opened some windows to clear out the dust from the sanding, but the contractors have suggested that I get a cleaning service in to clean the walls/floors of any residual dust. I have been thinking for a couple of years about getting a cleaning service, perhaps this will incentivize me to do so. About 65F and no clouds to be seen.

FCM , glad to hear Otis has his appetite returning.

Mollie, nice of you not to distract Squeaky, you have borne this load this long, a few more days won’t hurt.

Taters, good news on the Mom front and glad Zeus is settling down.

flyboy, sounds like some good self-diagnosis on the knee…hope it continues to improve.

boo fae and others, have no idea what Canvas is or what it does, but a hack job is not unprecedented in this day and age, so at least it was caught relatively promptly.

FCM, a shark who wants to be everyone’s friend…don’t let them watch ‘Jaws’. :scream:

And finished my second apple of the day before noon, so need to stop snacking and do things…but I donna wanna…

Press on.

Lunch today is a grilled ham & cheese sandwich. That is all.

Mrs Magill just told me that she missed her Friday catered Stromboli. :pizza:

Oops.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood. 69F at 1220 and bright sunshine.

Took the wife for her first PT session. She also received a nice bouquet of flowers from her niece for Mothers’ Day. What was supposed to be yesterday’s dinner will now be today’s.

We, like many cities, are in full construction season. Neighborhood streets are nearly impassable and and the ones that aren’t are potholed. Detours everywhere, which means adding additional drive time for any appointment. But it sure is purty out there.

My mother was excited to receive her Mother’s Day gift of a dozen bialys from New Yorker Bagel. She said the whole kitchen now smells delicious. Someone on the Dope (cookie?) said it was better than Zabar’s, and I’m sure my mother will provide an assessment.

Me too.

Contractors are done and paid and I’ll be off to the gym in a bit.

Cookie, down here it is also road-paving season and one doesn’t know from one day to the next when a road you use will be partially blocked. On the other hand, the new asphalt is nice for driving.

Lily, looked them up and boy that sounds good. But doesn’t seem to be a thing in N. Ali-bama.

And need to get the equipment together and be off to the sweatin’ place.

How can crabs betray a nation?

I’ll hafta scroll back up & read later. Just wanted to check in real quick before heading back to that whole “irk” thing. At least I’m “early out” tonight, although on a Friday that can mean fuck all.

The Senior Clerk called in today, so I was running the 100 and 200 slides. Apart when I was loading, or running packages. There were a couple of abandoned International return packages that has to Overgoods today. I could understand the Germans not wanting back the 3in1 electric guitar string shaver, but the shipping, fuel surcharge, and tariff cost must be insane for a company to walk away from $1200(1019 Euros) worth of leather motorcycle jackets. They kept bringing me stuff, so I was there till 11:45. I stopped at Teeter, picked up some Jiff and catfish. I’ll be napping as soon as the wash is done and in the dryer.
Also, they’re repainting the complex, and they finally finished one of the buildings. I’m going from cheerful yellow with black and white accents

To Enshitification Cream and Brown

There’s an Eggs Up at the one laundromat, in the old dry cleaner’s space. I should check it out.

If I had a choice between running, or fighting the bear, I’d pick a warrior’s death with the bear.

Oof.

Miss Noel Oné of Strasbourg, France hates you with the rage of 1000 suns.

She knows what she did.

Evenin’.

Well, local elections coulda gone worse.

I intend to spend the evening getting slightly drnuk and watching various David Attenborough series.

PBS just emailed me saying there’s a new special about making his groundbreaking Life on Earth series called Life on Earth: Attenborough’s Greatest Adventure. Dunno if it’s on your side of the pond.

I’m with you on that one, brother. This old fart doesn’t do running anymore.

We had a good day yesterday bringing our prototypes up to campus and having SMRT people try them out. Got some useful feedback, and a lot of completely useless feedback. “Couldn’t you just have velcro on these and have that stop the invading germs?” Well yes, but how does the game get reset for the next visitor?
