Should/can we prepare to rescue the SDMB?

Ed Zotti says here that “the real question isn’t whether we’ll get this or that featured [sic] fixed, but whether we’ll continue at all,” because Creative Loafing, the parent company, is in bankruptcy proceedings. If so, shouldn’t those of us who use and love the board be taking steps to ensure its continuation in case CL doesn’t survive? And how might that be done?
