Things people will blame on "liberals"

Mr. LeMoyne had nothing to say about this student’s expulsion, seeing as how he’s been dead since 1665.

The word liberal wasn’t used in the linked article, so who is actually claiming liberals or liberalism to be at fault here? I see school authorities to be at fault, regardless of thier political stripe.

Why whine and cry when no blow has been struck?

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

OMG U are teh SuXXorZ!!!oneone ROFLMAO.

(feel better now?)

Things people will blame on “liberals”:

*moral decay
*cancer
*global warming
*global cooling
*the top scoop of their ice cream cone sliding off and hitting the pavement
*their bad sex life
*the poncho craze
*the fact that their coupons expired yesterday, unbeknownst to them, and can’t they please use them anyway?
*the Apocalypse

Long before I would pit liberal-bashers (or conservative-bashers) based on the story linked in the OP, I would bash any news organization that built an entire story around the comments of a single individual, took the time to pad the story by interviewing multiple other sources, and never reported any statement from the institution being criticized.

What is Le Moyne’s position on this? McConnell claims he got an A- on the paper; why should we believe that the paper in question was the cause for his expulsion? He makes no mention of having his grade reduced for that class (which would be an extra insult by reducing his chances to switch to a different school). Why should we take his unsubstantiated word that he has even been expelled or that that paper was the reason for the expulsion?

Yeah, I’ve skimmed through the article twice but I don’t see where liberals come into all of this.

Agreed, though. No self-respeciting newspaper ought to be writing such one-sided stories. Something’s fishy in the State of Denmark. I just love the privacy rules that Universities are bound to in some of these cases; students can say they were expelled for the free expression of ideas when it was really often flunking out, brining a gun to the dorms or something.

It was only mostly dead.

Him too.

Humperdink! Humperdink! Humperdink!

Ding-ding-ding!

The Daily Orange is the student newspaper of Syracuse University. Despite our awesome media program our newspaper sucks. To clarify, the man was expelled from LeMonye, not Syracuse. As I recall the gentleman was not expelled just for advocating corporal punishment, but also for advocating segration by race. LeMonye is a private Jesuit institution and can expell whoever it wants.

Cite.

I might buy this, but then “conservatives” will get the blame for there being so many men’s shirts having button-down collars.
