Oooh. Nice. What is it about having one’s hair played with/skin rubbed? it’s so…tingly!
Going back to bed when you’ve just gotten up and are still tired.
Lying down in a clean bed with clean sheets after you’ve just taken a shower and have super-smooth legs (from shaving).
First swallow of Dr. Pepper in the morning, with lots of ice.
Replace Dr. Pepper with ginger cola after a long run, and you’re on, baby!
A hand massage after a looong class of hand-cramping note-taking. With nice cold lotion
We-ell, sure, sex feels good. I just figured that if we started posting about sex, every post would be “An orgasm” and there’d be no love for the little things. Because man, when does an orgasm NOT feel great?
Riding a motorcycle or a bicycle past a long honeysuckle covered fence will make you wish you could stay there all day.
I’m told that riding past the mint fields in Starke County during harvest time is so intoxicating that it’s nearly dangerous.
Back scratches, mmmmm.
Cold drink on a hot day.
Yup! That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
A hot soak on a cold evening, add the stars and a beer or wine and it is a fantastic night.
After laying in one place too long while sleeping, the feeling you get when you stretch your muscles.
A good salon hair-washing.
Sleeping baby in your lap/arms or on your shoulder.
A good foot rub.
Double post, sorry
Taking off your boots after being on your feet for nearly 12 hours straight.
Oh, and putting on a fresh pair of socks right after a shower.
Finally laying down after wishing for sleep for several hours.
GETTING THAT MOTHERFUCKING CAST OFF YOUR LEG.
Sweet zombie Jesus, it was amazing. I’m still wiggling my leg around and feeling the air on it and crossing my legs and luxuriating in having that damned thing off. Oh, god, it was heavenly. And then I took a shower!
Finally got it off, eh? Awesome.
True Story!: After-
…catching a cold and running a fever for four days…
…just as the first big summer heat wave hit…
…and having my neck, shoulders and arms get mildly sunburned…
…and struggling to install a 60-lb air conditioner in my 100° F bedroom, ONLY to have it throw the circuit breaker and char and melt the outlet…
…and trying unsuccessfully to sleep on the couch each night before migrating back to my bedroon at 3:00 AM once it’s dropped down to ONLY 85°F, getting maybe three two-hour fitful naps per night…
…and trying to drink enough water and electrolytes to keep a borderline case of heat exhaustion from turning into a full-blown collapse…
-THEN getting my new air conditioner installed and running.
Yep except for the shaving the legs part.
That tingly feeling after taking a big dump.
Arriving home after a tough day at work.
Taking off a pair of jeans/pants that have gotten a bit snug throughout the day.
An unexpected BJ.
One I just realized today. Relaxation pose (corpse pose) after an exhausting yoga session. It feels so damn good laying there on the floor, letting go, and just breathing after bending yourself into weird shapes for a solid half hour.
Still doesn’t top having my head rub though. That’s number one.
Standing kind of deep in thought and then having someone come up behind you and wrap their arms around you, youre not expecting it and the extra warmth of a nice embrace is so very very nice…
Also, that really tired feeling that you get after a long day, a nice long shower and then cuddling up to someone, So0o0o good…
a freezepop on a hot day.

Ice cold lemonade on a hot day. I make lemonade from reconstituted lemon juice (store brand of ReaLemon) and keep a big pitcher of it in the fridge. It tastes so much better than making it from powder. Also, when the pitcher is nearly empty, I make lemonade ice cubes and then a new batch of lemonade. Lemonade ice cubes are great in lemonade, in iced tea, and in tap water.
