Ah - I’ll continue here:
Turning off the headlights and driving on a full moonlit night with no helmet .
Hitting a big puddle on a scooter and making those huge walls of water - in fact any kind of driving through puddles is great.

Quaffing a glass of icy, extra-brut champagne!
-Making $12,000 in 5 days in the stock market
-turning the key and starting the engine of a 500 HP Dodge Viper
Did Sean Connery post that for you?
I’ll add: mowing the lawn in the early evening, then sitting outside with a very cold drink while watching the fireflies come out and the Moon rise.
I’m not much for late-night drinking since college, but I used to love coming home drunk and chilly after bar-hopping and getting in a hot shower. Something about the buzz of the alcohol combined with the heat of the shower melting away the cold…
Laying in bed in the middle of the day reading a book with the cat cuddled up in the crook of my neck.
Eating toast and tea in my pajamas on a weekend.
Changing into warm clothes after swimming.
Pressing my face into my cat’s floppy belly and inhaling.
Running your hand down your freshly shaved, but now dry, leg.
Waking up a couple of hours before you need to get up and discovering that your blankets and sheet are just right and you feel as snuggled as a tucked-in toddler.
You know how it’s humid before it rains during the summer? Right before or right after the rain, there’s often a soft cool breeze that carries the humidity with it like velvet. I like that a lot when I’m driving around with the windows down when it happens.
Splashing through silty, warm, tide pools at the beach that the sun has been shining on all morning.
Scratching a mosquito or flea bite on the toes/fingers.
Sticking a finger in my itchy ear and shaking it back and forth vigorously(this is probably a bad thing to do).
And for an unusual one: dragging an open palm across a scratchy welcome mat at the home improvement store. Almost better than an orgasm.
Here’s my top ten of little things, in no particular order:
Foot/Hand/Scalp/Back massage.
A scalding hot bath, using this awesome pine-scented salts and minerals my wife bought for herself, but I seem to have commandeered.
After the bath, relaxing to any of my favorite TV shows (or curling up with a good book), with a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies that have been in the fridge all day so they’re chewy and cold. Mmmm.
A brand-new pair of cotton socks.
Crawling into a cool, freshly made bed, with clean sheets.
A Bon Fire on a cool, clear night up-north, surrounded by pines… gazing at the stars and having laughs with your good friends. And lots of beer.
Back Scratch.
Sneezing.
Getting my neck or back cracked.
Taking a healthy dump. One that makes you feel 20 lbs lighter.
Oh, I have another one. Putting aloe on a sunburn and then sitting directly under a ceiling fan on high. shiver Awesome.
Getting that eyelash/speck of dust/piece of lint out of your eye. I swear, the feeling of relief lasts for hours.
Crawling into bed when you’re bone-weary and feeling the fatigue seeping from your body into the mattress.
Getting your bangs cut so that they’re out of your eyes.
Finally killing that stupid fly that’s been buzzing your nose for an hour.
Standing at the window on a cold winters day watching the snow drift down and settle.
The feel of brand new socks as you put them on
That first cup of coffee in the morning
A good old English full breakfast on a Sat/Sun morning, then a read of the papers
Watching the rain beat against your window (from inside) and seeing people outside getting wet
Or, sitting in the warm sun with a cold drink, reading a book.
When my dog Daisy, sniffs my leg or arm and I can feel her tiny whiskers tickling my skin.
Similarly, when my cat eats a treat out of my hand and I feel his chin fur and whiskers tickle my palm.
Driving over the Mourne mountains and seeing my family home.
That feeling 10 or 20 pages into a book when you realize that you are in really good hands, and you’re going to be sorry when it’s over.
Minute three of a cold shower. (The first two minutes suck but after that, Heaven!)
Finally breaking up when you’ve been dreading it for months.
That last cough, when the yuck finally comes out and you know this time you’ll get a nice long nap and actually feel better when you wake up.
A good belly laugh.
Peeling a big scab
Putting on a pair of hot underwear, fresh from the dryer
Cuddling with my cat
Peeing
Opiates+beer
Telling everyone to shut up and having them listen.
The absence of sound.
The heat of fire.
A celebrity’s death (I’m looking at you, Death Poolers).
Solving a complicated mathematical equation.
(Weird does not begin to explain me…)
I hope you’re female, because I am in love.
masculinely swoons
