We are due to get pounded by winter for the rest of the week, but we all have the next two days off, don’t need a thing at the store, and will wait it out by putting up the tree and finishing wrapping presents. Let it snow!

I just got home…from my last graduate school class ever! Yay! Done!
The job at my company that I have been waiting to open has finally opened. I think I have a real shot at getting it. I am nervous as hell but excited. Would be a nice pay raise, would finally get into the field I want, but would also be leaving all the awesome friends I’ve made (would be changing locations). I am applying Friday.

This last Sunday, I found myself sitting on the couch, reading, Mr. Horseshoe by my side playing Metroid, both cats purring on the couch with us - my entire little family, on one sofa - with NPR’s long block of Sunday programming coming on: Prairie Home Companion -> Car Talk -> Wait! Wait! Don’t tell me! -> Splendid Table. Then, a nap.
It was perfection. Especially since one of our cats, while not standoffish, is weird about getting onto the couch if the three of us are already on it. He prefers to not be the fourth wheel. 
Curse you! Now I crave it again.
