Things that only look cute on lil kids.

I say Missing teeth is one of them…never seen anyone over 9 that looks cute with missing teeth.

One of my nieces had missing teeth at the front for a while. It didn’t add to her cuteness.
Grubby knees?

Milk/juice mustaches
Frilly pink dresses (only on girls, of course!)

Band-Aids, particularly with cartoon characters

Wearing multiple primary colors at once

Overalls

I gotta go with diapers.

Bunny suits.

My dad’s a pediatrician so this may be a strange inherited thing, but I have a deep affection for band-aids with cartoon characters on them. On anyone. Not that I want to plaster them all over myself, but I do find them superior to the plain ones.

I’d have to go with smocked outfits.

I would have to go with pigtails. And braces. Or someone with pigtails AND a mouth full of metal.

superhero capes.

Osh Kosh overalls. Unless you actually are a railroad engineer (how’s the Other Side treating you, Grandpa  )

Pinafores.

I’ve suggested to some of my female friends that they should pinafores to their wardrobe, but they all have declined.

How would you size pinafores for adults anyway?

Sports uniforms that are just a bit too big - especially soccer uniforms. On an adult, it’d look weird, but on little kids (around 6 or so)…it’s just adorable.

Hairbows. I’ve seen grown women with bows in their hair. It looks stupid. Only looks cute on little girls.

Baseball caps, with the bill angeled to one side.

My, how times do change! Osh Kosh started out making men’s work overalls; their children’s line came along, I’m told, much later.

That single ponytail straight from the top of your head.

Adorable on a three year old. I’ve seen Brittney Spears do it…not so adorable.

teeny tiny backpacks.

Unless you’re a teeny tiny person (i.e. a little kid) I think that teeny tiny backpacks just look ridiculous on you.

Bare tummies and thongs out the back of your very low jeans.

Oh yeah not cute on kids even.

My vote goes for 2 plaits then (braids ?). The Laura Ingalls/ Pippy Longstocking two plait look is gorgeous on little girls. If you are over 12 you look like you are summoning the inner harlot.

Pigtails look cute on young women too.

Hair bows were my first thought as well. Then comes missing teeth and braces, although I never found braces cute on anyone, and the more I notice missing teeth, even in children, the more frightening they become (because eventually that one missing tooth in the front becomes one gigantic tooth compared to the rest of the teeth, and that’s just creepy). When my sister was really little, it took her a long time to grow hair as a baby, so one of our neighbors would put one of those sticky bows in on her head…that was pretty cute. Wouldn’t work so well on an 80 year old woman, though.

I think most other things depend on age as well. There’s a group of girls I know in their late twenties, early thirties who wear their hair in pig tails quite often and are desireable as hell (they also wear fishnet stockings, big boots, and pleather cheerleading uniforms, but that’s besides the point).

Depending on the girl, overalls can work, but I do think they should be limited to children.
