I wouldn’t know. I’m only in charge of lunch…
Ha ha hardy har har :smack:
Well, at least now you know you’ve gotten through the low point of your day… it can only get better now!

In Bed!
<snerk!>
happy?
off to work
Everyone - please send anti-snow vibes - I don’t want the party to be cancelled!
Same goes for drunk bears.
Dotty could HRH get any cuter!!! AWWWWWW…
Rebo the Mr. and you are, no doubt, Houston’s most bee-yoo-ti-ful couple!
{{{Shadow}}} it sounds like you’ve figured out that this will be the best thing. You have my support as well as that of all the Mumpers.
BooFae hope everything’s ok.
Feel better Rigs.
And a big ol’ hug wherever it’s needed. I’m sure I forgot stuff.
Newly elevated to favorite coffee mug seems to be enjoyin’ its new status. 'Cept it’s empty right now. Gotta go fix that soon.
It’s froggy out this mornin’. Waaaaaaay froggy! As in, I can look out the window here in my study and can’t see the pool. Even the back porch which is covered and all is froggy.
Ok, off to caffienate some more and probably do some more larnin’. I gots me some more stuff to get all learned up on.
ETA: For BioRosie:
Snow, snow go away!
Come again some other day!
Later Y’all!
Sigh. Back again. Still here in TVLand. Just got out of the shower and am contemplating a nap.
Hugs for BooFae. Guys have cooties. We should stay away from them.
CutiePie, thanks - it’s nice to know I’m not along in my emo girl emotions.
:: sends snow-repelling vibes rosie’s way ::
Haze, I liked your essay, but I can’t say I agree with it. I’ve finally met my “other half” - and it’s not painful! I like being my separate self, and he his. When we are together it feels natural, and comfortable - even from the beginning it was like that. I don’t think I’d ever want to be so entwined with someone as to be “one.”
[/philosopher mode]
Dots, HRH is just adorable!
Kai, I loved the story! Buzzwinkle, hee! I love to hear about Alaska. Someday I’m gonna take a vacation there.
Thanks, Swampus, it felt good to get all dressed up! (Aside: a guy here at work says he’s “gonna get his learn on.” Heh.)
Big {{{HUGS}}} for all the sickies and just the plain old down in the dumpsters…
Ok - work beckons. (I wish it would STFU! :D)
[QUOTE=tarragon918]
Congrats, Sean and Mrs. Factotum!! Although I’m not sure why this is a second wedding, but congrats anyways.[ /QUOTE]
We’ve both been married to other people before. Her divorce was relatively quick and painless, while mine took four years to wrap up. Her ex was just a dick, while mine is completely insane.
Probably not. She’s not really into the boards, and I usually only post while I’m at work.
Rebo, it wouldn’t be proper of me to say “How you doin’?” because of my pending nuptials, but …
PiePup #1 has discovered cigarette butts. :dubious:
Ewww.
:: squints at Rebo through masses of black eyeliner and clumpy mascara :: YOU JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND MY PAAAAAAAAAAAIN.

Hazel–that was reallly deep, but I’m on medication. Actually, it sounds co-dependent… But you write well. I’ve never even HEARD of the angry inch movie, so be gentle in your judgement and all.
Am I the only one who thinks matzo balls at Easter is kind a weird? Specially from a Jewish guy? Just sayin’… (I used to love matzo PB &J’s at school–I was jealous of the Jewish kids who got them).
Thanks for the good wishes–the nose isn’t quite such a faucet today, but I still feel disembodied. Unfortunately, I’m due downtown in about 90 minutes, so no rest for Rigs today. I’ve taken major drugs (I’m not driving), so let’s hope I get through it ok.
Daughter heard last night that she got in to BU! Very happy family over here today–PLUS, she got a merit scholarship and a financial aid qualifier discount type thingy, so her tuition is now about 1/4 what it was going to be (thank god).
Kai–NEVER again will I feel sorry for those Alaskans. NEVER. You have an effing Nordstrom’s there? I don’t have a Nordstrom’s here! (I have to drive about 25 miles to get to one). So much for “roughing it” in the Yukon. What else do you all have up there? Spas and in home pedicures? Bah. Plus, you get cool diversions like drunk moose.
Well, for some obscure reason* Easter seems to be close to Passover every year…
*Perhaps because The Last Supper was, in fact, a Seder.
Woo and (MAJOR) Hoo!! Yay for RigsGirl!!! :):)
Glad you’re feeling a bit better today.
Morning, all. I don’t have much this morning; caffeine is still trying to do its work. It’s an uphill battle.
{{{Mumpers}}}
It’s a few degrees above freezing and raining here. I hope it stays warm enough that it stays rain and doesn’t turn to sleet; Papa Tigs may never get home if it does! :eek: Washington drivers are not known for being sensible in bad weather. Which may be the understatement of the century.
Off to the salt mines.
ETA: Yay for RigsGirl indeed! That’s quite an accomplishment!
Yay for daughter, rigs! My cousin goes to BU and he loves it there.
Is it can be vacation times now?
Maybe it’s just me but we seem to be far busier this season than this time last year. Not that I’m complaining overmuch; it keeps me employed.
Just a week and a bit to go, then next Friday is a joyous syzygy[sup]*[/sup] of payday, Christmas bonus day, and the Christmas luncheon/party wherein I will see if I go three for three on Christmas baskets. (Every year V, the executive secretary, is tasked with buying close to a dozen various gift baskets or general gifts for the party. Then, at the party, we all draw numbers out of a hat, and V will call out the numbers and whoever has a matching number wins one of the gifts.) Then we’re off 'til the 27th. And by “off” I mean “engaging in family chaos.”
Hank - We do not have cooties! Those clear up by the time we hit puberty, largely because by that time we are desperately trying our best to paw them off on those younger than us. (How did you think they perpetuate? Cooties don’t even like each other!) I do mostly agree with the emo essay though. The odds are pretty good given the population that there is someone out there whose traits match your desires almost exactly, but that the chances of finding that person are so absurdly remote that searching that person out is an exercise in futility. If it happens, cool, if not, you find the person that most closely matches your wants and needs and there you go. It may not be your ideal, but at least it will be interesting.
Kai - Moose are bad drunks. Fortunately they’re also clumsy drunks, so it’s safe to taunt them from a distance.
Swampy - What, moose don’t drink coffee? I wouldn’t trust a moose that didn’t drink coffee. Especially a drunk moose.
PieBringer - Bagel and light cream cheese. Rather pedestrian, really.
Work is beckoning with a salt-encrusted whip and a nasty look in its eye.
[sub]Hey, that’s the first time I ever got to use “syzygy” in a sentence not involving Atari![/sub]
Younger Nephew is the chief engineer at WBUR (BU’s radio station - and NPR affiliate)
in hopes of performance and party not being cancelled, I am wearing my party shirt to work (I have a costume shirt for the performance, but I didn’t want to wear it at work) It’s covered in swirls of purple glitter, so now, so is my desk! :smack:
Morning. Awake, upright, making bean soup, about to caffeinate. It’s cold here, -4 with a windchill of -8.
Now to figure out what to do with this day. Besides drink tea (Not kai’s Tea). Right. Call clinic for next week’s appointment, call diaper service, eat breakfast, curse my broken oven, make caramels. Maybe do rice crispy squares, if I can keep from eating them all. Great.
SHE HAS A NEW BOOK OUT??!!??
breaks land speed records to beat down the doors of Mssrs. Barnes et Nobel
I need to check Fantastic Fiction more.
I already know I like it. Whether I like it enough to keep it on my wishlist is the question. I think so because I already have the other two books in the Planet Pirates series (Sassinak and Generation Warriors).
An addition to the Thesis Pile: Here’s a picture. Off I go to winnow through it.
(Note: How funny is it that I was reading Haze’s post about Hedwig when “Detachable Penis” started playing on my Winamp?)
