Lunch - Thanks for the offer – I may just take you up on that, as I suspect I’m going to need all the help I can get. I’m very familiar with programming and such, even though I haven’t really coded anything serious in a decade, so I’m not averse to learning new languages. I just haven’t tried to tackle more than one at a time. 
I’m sure I’ll be able to pick it up with little problem, so long as I can find the time to squeeze it in. I’ve already installed MySQL, Apache and PHP wrapped up in a neat package called WampServer 2, so I’ve got the tools I need. Now I just need to get to edumacatin’ myself – with a [del]little[/del] lot of help.
GT - Yeah, I had the w3schools address noted down in my PDA for ages, but haven’t been able to get off my lazy bum to pore through any of it – until now. It’s a helluva resource though and an awesome way to get a professional leg up if it’s something that’ll do you good in that area. And you can’t beat free schooling.

Today is Baking Frenzy day. One of our friends ([gossip] he’s the one that asked me in all seriousness if I was dating Scottish Darling; he had a crush on her in the worst way, but she never took him seriously because he had the reputation of being the resident man-slut in our MA program [/gossip]) is having a Christmas party tomorrow, and I’ve decided to take Christmas cookies, gingerbread cookies, and a green bean with tomatoes and bacon dish. I’ll cook the beans tomorrow, of course, but the cookies take time, so I’ll get that out of the way today.
Isn’t it terrible the way cats cruelly prevent us from doing important things?
The cuisinart has not washed itself. I am not impressed. This means I’m not loafing hard enough. If I’m lazy enough eventually my home will realise that I’m not going to clean- it has to clean itself, dammit.
Nope, sorry. If that worked, my house would have been spotless years ago.

LiLi, aren’t there any places in Toronto that hire out carseats? I know there are quite a few in Australia, some of which even deliver to hospitals! At least that way, you can wait to buy the one you want, but not have to walk home in the freezing cold carrying a tiny (but amazingly heavy) baby!
Thanks for all the compliments about HRH guys - I swear she just gets cuter every day, and more mobile and more cheeky! She figured out how to climb stairs yesterday, so now it’s all over bar the shouting! I am just waiting for her to discover the Christmas tree (tucked away near the under-stairs closet) and lay waste to it when I have my back turned! I showed her the pretty lights when I tested them after decorating the tree last week (yeah, it’s plastic - what do you expect in this part of the world?), and she was mesmerised! I haven’t looked forward to Christmas like this in years!!!
Okay, I need to get my butt in gear and wash some bottles, after I finish planning my Christmas menu. Ciao for now!

Just as there is no snooze bar on a cat who wants breakfast, there is no way to move a contented kitty without incurring several scratches or being meowhined at. Leave her be. A contented, purry kitty is a thing of God.

My husband called and told me that the news trucks are around the corner from us. It seems somebody broke the glass and was climbing in a man’s bedroom window - and the homeowner shot and killed him! About two blocks from my house! :eek: Apparently there have been car burglaries recently, too, unbeknownst to us.
I’m gonna go downstairs and grab a bite to eat and work through lunch - then I can leave at 3:00pm. Yay!
I’m sleepy. Going to take a nap. Bye!
